As I implied yesterday, Dodds end of the season probably made it easier to change the front bench. Fighting to keep Dodds there ahead of others would have been a sackable offence. Not saying I hate Dodds or that he isn’t a good person to have around but it clearly needed a different perspective.
I don't believe that there was ever any expectation to have Dodds as assistant. Part of the wider staff, yes, but I don't believe that any new coach wouldn't be allowed to bring his own staff in. It was just a conspiracy to beat Speakman/KLD with.

I think the club believed if they had all the cogs in place then replacing the head coach would be as easy as replacing a right back, think they've realised that's not the case.
I actually really like the model and the idea of it, however the head coach needs control of the first team and the people needed to do that job.
Speakmans job is to find the right players for now, and players to develop for the future.
Dodds and Proctor are probably good coaches but should be used by the head coach how he feels is best
I think he’s a horrible, snide lad that one. I can’t post it on RTG to him directly but I know he trawls this place constantly and runs back to RTG to comment so I don’t feel too snide myself for saying it.
He and his acolytes are saying that people on here are just hanging on his coat tails when in fact he’s been saying Maric ‘is done’ for weeks now and no one on here has gone along with that and instead they have generally stuck fast that it’s Still.
And yet he and others always sneered about the ‘things change’ line and use it to mock other posters with info.
As you can tell, I’m not a fan.

I don’t believe we’ll go all out for promotion, fully expect 10+ years at this level with the current model. Let’s see what develops over the next few months and if we’re to have a go next season…
The club wouldn't do that without an initial agreement ...

Aye, if we go up in the next 10 years, which is statistically pretty likely for a club our size, it's probably an accident.
i think it just depends what birmingham would offer, but if the owner backs up with what he's been saying i think the could persuade him
