I dont have a clue who the new manager will be...but timing of this announcement is very interesting...lots of people and media suggesting Maric and news soon...however lets see how it all plays out.

Personally, I would like Still to ge given chance here and allow him his own backroom staff and ability to select his own transfers. FTM
Would love him to bring amir Richardson with him

I'm not going to lie, I'm going to be a bit disappointed if it is Still, his Reims team are a pretty dull watch and perform pretty poorly on metrics like xG etc even when doing well in the league - you could see this second half of the season drop off coming (I appreciate they lost players to the AFCON and the Asian cup and sold Matusiwa).

I don't find his persona, at least in the media, appealing either - a lot of self preservation and serving of his own interests even if it’s at the expense of his employers etc.

That said, if it is him then I'll be 100% behind him.

Echo every word of this. Particularly the bold bit!

no matter who we get, I’ll back them to the hilt, as I did Mowbray (despite not wanting him when he joined) and Beale (as I knew nothing about him)

Can someone not drum up more news? It’s like a drug this bloody club sometimes

Whoever it is, we shouldn’t have long to wait. The club said they expect to have someone in more or less as soon as the seasons over.

This for me, also, the 2 wins since Christmas is a worry...

I keep reading why this coach or that coach won't come because of the state we're in. Yes this season has been one to forget but look at the players we have - Pattison, Ballard, Neil (if we can keep him), Clarke (more than likely to go if Harte has his way), Ekwah, Hume, Cirkin (when he's fit) Alese to name first teamers. Then there's kids coming through - Rigg, Watson, Kelly, Young. We have more than enough for an ambitious coach to put his stamp on and then add the players that can hit the ground running next season. I've never looked forward to a close season as much to see what happens next
Any coach coming to the championship would look at us as one of the top 6 clubs to come to.
Yes we've had a **** season, the nose dive started going so wrong when Dodds took over, I'm not really blaming him, he took a job he wasn't up to without much of a choice. Hopefully because the coach we wanted wasn't available, so it did actually make sense to right the season off an get the right man.
I'm sure when Beale went we would have been in contact with our next head coach so I'm not concerned that our recent form will put off any candidates we were interested in.

It's neither positive or negative.

You have to look at us the way an outsider would look at us to get a realistic view, and the facts are that we're beginning to look like a basket case again. That will put some candidates off.
If someone looked at is and was put off by our current form I wouldn't want him in the first place, both Mowbray and Beale had us around the play offs. If a coach couldn't see the potential we have he's not capable of doing a job here.
