I have no idea, just speculating and probably putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 16Hell of a shout that!

Wouldn't be adverse to that mindIsn't KLD mates with Struber who was part of the Red Bull set up?
Maybe he's bringing him in as the experienced DOF to compliment Maric as the young dynamic head coach?
We might find out on Friday as they are all here.
If it was him, KS would have been released by now, cos KS has said I quote, Will Still fits us perfectly and he can work with our program. Un quote.
Def no abuse on my part mate, hope you didnt take my responses that wayMowbray. Think heckingbottom would be good. Robins would be amazing. Few former players I like as well but as they played for England, I'd rather not have abuse on a Sunday morning
Hope you don't think i was being abusive towards you mate. I know where you are coming from with wanting experience but this sounds like an exciting appointment.Mowbray. Think heckingbottom would be good. Robins would be amazing. Few former players I like as well but as they played for England, I'd rather not have abuse on a Sunday morning
Footballs changing quickly and I accept that. I'm just happy to get someone through the door with assurances and commitment from the board. He's certainly got the credibility, you don't make it at those clubs unless you've got something specialMaric wouldnt have been my 1st choice but im happy if it is him.
Every appointment is a risk but for me this type of appointment is exciting. I dont want the typical championship manager (a Heckingbottom type), they might be safer appointments but theyll only ever be a championship manager. I want us to go for the type of manager that can grow with the club, managers that have a high ceiling - this guy has that, he is highly rated in German football.
I look at what danny rohl has done at sheff wed, mckenna has done at ipswich and what corbein has done in his career- and i think the unknown can be great
There is always pros n cons to every appointment, his cons are down to never managing a 1st team before - therefore he must nail his coaching staff appointments
I know social media will all be about him being a blogger, but he was a coach 1st and has had to work his arse off to get to where he is now
Aye, footballing person isnt the wrong phrase. You're a great poster BTW, nice to be able to chat, rather than people arguing! I do think it's crucial to have had played the game and at a high level though. That doesn't have to be the head coach tho. I think my reservations are more about where we are, rather than the guy himself. Dodds not played before, proctor to a low level. If we get this guy in, I think we need a backroom reshuffle. If someone like a Mowbray, Robins came in, I think they'd do OK within our set up. Hope that makes sense.Def no abuse on my part mate, hope you didnt take my responses that way
Fair play for actually providing some names of who you would like to see
We arent all going to agree on who the new manager is/should be but i know we will all get behind him
I just hate the term football experience. As someone who is trying to make their way in the game, i have no 'football experience' but i know the game. I see people being employed in roles solely based on what they were like as a player and it annoys me - i didnt play at any high level but doesnt make me less qualified than them
I watch the likes of danny murphy, paul Merson, clint morrison etc trying to analyse games but in my opinion they are totally clueless - only there as they have footballing experience
The best scouts, analysts and coaches I know are guys that have never played at a high level. Its advantage to them as they look at the game differently as the game didnt come easy to them when they played.
Anyway thats my rant over lol
I often think some of the drawbacks with managers is that they've played at a "high level" as you call it.Aye, footballing person isnt the wrong phrase. Again though, I talk ****e and know very little
I get what you’re saying. If we get someone who’s walked the walk it’s reassuring. Nobody knows anything really about this bloke so it feels risky. We just have to get behind him and the team until we know the pro’s and cons.Aye, footballing person isnt the wrong phrase. GoodSpeakman hasn't got any say in it if what I've been told is correct
I generally agree but it feels like we’re missing a bit of it as a club, You do learn from having seen it and been there in all walks of life. Playing the game and managing or organising it are different though.Def no abuse on my part mate, hope you didnt take my responses that way

Nothing wrong with getting the right kind of experience in, thats where him appointing the right coaches will be key to his successI generally agree but it feels like we’re missing a bit of it as a club, You do learn from having seen it and been there in all walks of life. Only won 1 PL title since joining Liverpool so its a no from me lolJurgen Klopps available soon.
Interesting debate the one about having played the game at a high level. My opinion is it should not be a pre-requisite but if they do have the experience, and the attributes needed to be an elite level coach, then it is a major help.Aye, footballing person isnt the wrong phrase.
