I’ve pinched this from elsewhere but alot of teams in this league have gone down this route, all about finding a Danny rohl before everyone else

Leicester - Maresca, Man City assistant.
Leeds - Farke, Dortmund reserves before he went to Norwich.
Ipswich - McKenna, Man Utd u18s, promoted to first team coach.
Southampton - Russel Martin, he was straight into it with MK Dons.
Norwich - Wagner, Dortmund reserves before he went to Huddersfield and took them up.
WBA - Corberan, Leeds u23 and first team coach.
Hull City - Rosenior, Brighton u23 assistant, derby first team coach, assistant, interim manager.
Boro - Carrick, Man Utd first team coach, caretaker manager.

Clubs, fans and owners in particular are getting fed up of the manager merry go round. The same managers being appointed, sacked, replaced, move to another club. Repeat. All the while rinsing clubs for severance pay.

Define a football person?

The guy has been involved in football for around 13 years, has worked at some massive clubs, watches games from all around the world every week to improve his knowledge of the game and he has all the qualifications you need to manage

So please define what a football person is if thats not him
I'll qualify this saying 1, I know nowt, and 2, I think circumstances are important.

For me, we need a coach with experience of playing football, as a professional, and then in addition having experience of management. So that's a football person.

People like this fella have a big future in the game, and modern set ups. Modern management is this ilk. I just think thr nature of our team, age profile, experience lends better to 'football person'. 2 years on, once the team has experience and the long term play is in motion, those type of coach could be perfect.

Caveat, I know bugger all

Out of interest who would you like to see in charge mate?
Mowbray. Think heckingbottom would be good. Robins would be amazing. Few former players I like as well but as they played for England, I'd rather not have abuse on a Sunday morning

Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard?

Good un that
Fans react weekly owners and DOF have to have a loger term vision. Hopefully ours is good.
I know Bob likes people he knows as it keeps him connected but the truth is the owners need to find what is best for SAFC.
Not a dig by the way just an observation that we all like what we know and change is hard, and I hope our new head coach sweeps clean and gives us a new fresh approach.

Know **** all about Maric to be honest. Just read that he's been quite nomadic up until now but he's been in his 20s up until now so that can't really be held against him.

Honestly not too sure. Read a couple of articles about him but they felt like puff pieces. Journalists clearly enamoured by him but they didn't really explain why beyond hype.

Open mind if a little underwhelmed maybe.

I’d prefer still but I also said colback was better than Henderson so hopefully I’m just as wrong this time too
You are not alone in that, at u21 level we had Colback, Henderson and Meyler, as a midfield trio and Colback was the outstanding one of the three, he was treated unfairly here imo. playing most of his games at first team level out of position , and never let us down, yet was always the one to make way. He left under a cloud of course he did , but he has done OK out of football and I wish him well. He had a good game this week playing for QPR, more than I can say for a few playing for us yesterday.
