I know this is a public forum, but I'm really not keen on this type of thing where people are posting someone else's comments for a whole different audience than to which it was first intended.

Agreed. Also, did they ask permission to share the content in the first place?

Agreed. The clamour is mad imo. Can’t say I know a great deal about him or how he likes to set a team up.

He took over at Lierse when they were bottom of the league, won like 8 out of 9 games and left them at the top of the league before they went bankrupt. It’ll not get mentioned much because it’s only the Belgian 2nd tier but to go to any team bottom of the league and win pretty much every game and climb the table like that is impressive. Went to Beerschot after they’d just been promoted, led them to a 9th place finish and they chose not to keep him on. Got relegated the first season without him.

Went to Reims and finished 4 points off a European place. He’s definitely done well wherever he’s been and compared to other managers we could attract his CV is impressive, albeit short. He’s done it at clubs in different countries and hasn’t really had a bad spell.

Apart from his last 14 games at Reims, obviously.

Yeah I'm the same, don't really get all the hype with Still. He done ok in his career so far but nothing spectacular.

I know why in my case mate, if you're interested.

If what we think we know is correct the owner decided, possibly with the help of French advisers, that Still is the man he wants.

If these are the same advisers who recommended Farioli I'd say they're quite knowledgeable.

If KLD gets his man he must be the kind of manager who'll be happy with our type of club.

If KLD gets his way he can't complain if things are a disaster.

If he has to settle for a dull plodder like Heckingbottom he'll be less likely to fund signings and more likely to sack him.

What I think I'm saying is that if KLD nails his colours to the mast everyone at the club will have to salute them ...

... which, in my mind, is exactly what everyone needs from the coaches to the players to the supporters.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I commend this motion and hope we get an answer before we all go nuts <laugh>

This.

But the confidence in the Lens camp has me shook. I think he'll go there.

Bang on. I don’t think it’s necessarily his ability that people are really bothered about at this point (as daft as that sounds). He’s clearly out number 1 target, and has been for some time. Getting him on would show ambition, which would go a long way for most.

Thank you mate ...

... I always know how I feel, I just don't always think I've phrased it right.

Football players need 'signals' imo and need to know the manager has the full confidence of the boss.

Small things make big differences in the minds of young players.

think it also goes a long way for future signings as well. Just sends a signal of a club going places rather than stuck

Or that they’re waiting to find out if he’s on the way.

Seems like cryptic “I don’t know but last I heard it was positive” to me.

Bear in mind Lens might not even know we’ve gone back with a new offer. And if they don’t know, the reporters don’t know.
Hoping you’re right! Really want him to be our new HC

Hopefully if we appt him he turns out to be good, don't really know enough about him to make to much of a comment.

Also would be nice to get a HC in soon so we can try and calm the fan reaction down on social media (depending on who it is) the kits coming out are gonna be very good and I imagine they’ll have a whole marketing campaign ready since it’s Hummel. Would be a shame to see the comments full of grief

To be honest it’s quite literally a public forum you can’t really stop people from posting it. If it was private then yeah

'There's no right to privacy in a public place' ...

...you can film anyone in public and they can't stop you.

Something I've had to remind the police about at various matches.

Whatever you put on here is fair game tbh.

Yeah but he didn’t lose for like his first 20 games or something there? They aren’t a team with a big budget and they don’t have a great squad he’s got them performing about where you’d expect. Look at the table and every team above them is a team you’d expect to be.
