We might have a new Prime Minister before we appoint a new Head Coach <laugh>
What will be will be. I'd much rather wait for the right manager than rush into the wrong one.

It may just be me but I'm always surprised managers never realise any of this until a highly paid contract is signed.

Highly experienced but totally oblivious to anything relating to the squad, set up, etc.
He signed his contract 12 months earlier. When the squad was much better. He knew all too well the squad was poorer in the summer of 23/24. He was right, the owners and directors were wrong. Alex Neil didnt have the ability as a coach to achieve with the sqiad we had in 22/23. He left. Mowbray is on another level and he got them where they should be. Then the club hierarchy failed in their jobs on squad building. They failed the coaches. That much has been seen over a season and 3 coaches.

Anderson can’t have possibly been any worse than Gooch in a back 3, Ronald McDonald wouldn’t have been any worse than him. Ekwah played at CB several times for West Ham, Michut was on the bench..

He was stubborn and tried to overload the midfield again in a game that it was never going to work.
Disagred massively. Anderson was miles off the level, another failure in the tfr market. Weak and postionally terrible. Ekwah as a CH is just madness. He is as weak in the air as anyone, scared of the physical confrontation. Cant believe what I am reading at the minute. Barmy.

I know all that mate, it just doesn't excuse whining about the club in press conferences ...

... as you know players will latch onto any excuse, Mowbray just kept trotting them out.

If it was a sacking based solely on results or performances then those making the decision need to look back on the reasoning. It had been an up and down start to the season, runs unbeaten and runs of struggle. However, points were coming. It was reasonably clear we had no striker able ready to play. Burstow was a willing worker, but looked way short in the box. Mowbray was once again being asked to put out a competitive side without a striker. I am not surprised he was disappointed in the club. Speakman had openly said nobody wants the playoffs, then fails to give the coach the players to deliver his demands. Folk can say Mowbrays time was up, that is ok, for me though it was never about coaches this season (although Dodds underperformed) it was about the signings we did not make, and that is not something coaches can be solely blamed for.

totally agree

Put 20 flighted balls into the box where Gooch and Ekwah are battling for the header, who wins more often than not? We aren’t talking about Ekwah over a CB we’re talking about Ekwah over a player who was a liability as a wing back never mind playing a CB.

It was obvious we'd need to score in that game but we set up to draw, terrible tactics imo.

No disrespect but how would you, Bob or anyone else know we haven't?

Instead of waiting to see if there's anything to criticise, people are getting their digs in without knowing anything.

It's bank holiday weekend, people need to calm down and smell the roses.
I’m not getting a dig in mate, just curious. To say we’ve set our budget etc is a pretty specific thing to know.

They wanted rid of TM at the end of that playoff season. The fans kicked off so they had to stick with him. Imo that was a big mistake and I said it at that time.
This season they just needed an excuse to sack him. It wasn't just the results but he started having a few digs at the club in pressers and showing his frustrations. That was enough for them to get rid.
Then along came Beale! That was the big mistake imo

Is that guesswork or is there anything to back it up?
