do you want Dodds to take over? Or do you want him to get the job so you can moan at the club for hiring him? Don’t get why you’re constantly saying you think he’s getting the job!
I don't think I'd be comfortable with him getting it but I'd back him if he did. I just believe and feel he'll get it. That's all.

Genuinely question, based on what?

I don't think we as fans have any idea about coaches like dodds or the others we've been linked to.

Historically yes, they all had track records and quite clear identities. This lot, who knows!

Dodds has brought through the best player in the world right now. Whilst you certainly don't put too much on that alone, it's also quite something to bare in mind.
I'll raise you Jordan Henderson & Jordan Pickford both brought through by McNamee and Kevin Ball. I'm not saying that Dodd's couldn't do the job but it would seem unlikely as past experience tell you that when it goes wrong.

Dodds may do well so I won’t judge him until we see how he does if that’s the way we end up going, but I do think it tells us that what we pay and how we run things isn’t ticking the boxes of our target coaches or we wouldn’t have had interviews and failed.
What do you mean by 'failed', interviews are a two way thing, usually with the dominant position is held by the interviewer. It may well be that the management decided that the interviewees just didn't meet the criteria, that's not failing, that's making the right decision.

Would anyone up in arms when Neil went ....

... welcome him back with open arms now?
I liked Neil, especially the way he’d research our opponents then change players, tactics etc to best counter them

I also liked how he didn’t take any crap from journalists

His personality etc didn’t stop us getting promoted so it wasn’t a problem for me

The problem was he didn’t fit in with the Director of Football/Head Coach system. For that reason alone I wouldn’t have him back if he offered to work for free <laugh>

Rubberballs going on like an absolute bairn owa the rerd.

Loves being ITK. Christmas has come early having a manager search before the transfer window opens.

I respect anyone who comes out as ITK, it gets rough as a badgers arse when the novelty wears off

About 15 year ago I tried my hand to show up a gobby poster

Not many people on the little board I was on had heard of Newsnow so for a while I had godlike powers

It felt class at first but led to nothing but trouble <laugh>

My disgust then wasn't as much about him actually leaving but the underhanded way he and Stoke had gone about things.

That alone would make me say no, but he went because he wasn't happy about the club's sporting set-up; that is still in place so he rules himself out on that count.
