I think you're right, the Internet does amplify and extend any moaning that happens. I think though that the idea that was suggested, that we're better customers/consumers/fans if we complain, is wrong and part of an attitude that is detrimental.

There's something romantic about him staying for at least another season. As long as they don't over extend financially, they'll be sound. If he keeps them up his stock is still high, even if they're relegated by the skin of their teeth, given the quality of teams in the Prem, he could go again with Ipswich or a Brighton type.
However I'd understand if he went to Chelsea or United because that might be his only chance.

Why do Chelsea owners think another manager will do any better with the mish mash of players they have? Poch had them playing decent towards end of season. Game, especially at the top, is mental. It's lost on me.

Poch was 100% the right manager for them at this stage so could be a massive blow losing him
I genuinely think it's because of the demand for instant gratification that comes from both (certain) club owners and (and an element of) club's fans. Success now, or you're gone. I get more and more the impression that once a club has a certain amount of success, people can't cope if that club doesn't maintain that level of success, but that's not how sport works really.
Selfishly I want to see him have a crack with Ipswich, his ties with United could be too big a pull to ignore though
