Started another series last night called
“ Seven seconds “ watched 3 episodes
up to now, looking good Houston...

I woke up ridiculously early again this morning, so watched another two films...

The Foreigner (2017) - Pierce Brosnan and Jackie Chan star in a film about a Chinese Takeaway owner in London who seeks revenge after his daughter is killed in an IRA bombing. Though it has the sort of action you expect in a Chan movie, it's actually really well done (directed by Martin Campbell - GodenEye and Casino Royale) and I enjoyed it.

The White Tiger (2021) - American made, but set in India with an entirely Indian cast. Can't say much about this one without giving away the story, but it has a similar feel to Slumdog Millionaire, without being anywhere near as good. It's over two hours long and I found myself checking the clock a few times during the last half hour, which probably tells you all you need to know.

I read the novel The White Tiger. Didn't think the movie quite lived up to the book.

cant remember if ive already mentioned (age thing) this but i liked the 2015 German film Look Whos Back
with subtitles. funny at first, slows down a bit then the end gets a bit sinister.
Adolf Hitler is the main character but its set in 2015.

finally watched all of The Shield. not on amazon prime or netflix as the quality was poor.
halfway through 3 or 4 other series so that tells you they aren't up to much.

recently watched the hateful 8
i liked it and some bits were very funny, but can see how people say its too slow. my daughter and son in law said it was rubbish and you only needed to have watched the last half hour.

the president?

of the united states?

of america?

The Shield was one of my favourites of recent years.

Mrs. Two was watching Chicago Fire and I was racking my brains (leave it Rovertiger!) as to the identity of one of the actors. Eventually I twigged that it was Winston, aka Marigold, Alf Garnett's over the top camp home help!

Tonight at 9pm on film 4 a movie I watched a cpl of years ago “ love, Simon “
It’s about a lad that come out after conversations
with another lad on the internet. The lead actor is really good, made for a great change from films with 100 killings in the first 10 minutes. I came Out at aged about 8/9 but not in the sexual nature. I was born on Hessle road and when I told my family that I wanted to support the black and Amber who play with a round ball ( no pun intended) and not the black and whites, well let’s just say they were not amused. I come from fishermen, dockers and merchant seaman ( again no pun intended) who basically to a man and woman support Hull Fc. Anyway the films pretty good.

Just finished Season 5 of Better Call Saul. I've been putting it off for months as it was hard work watching Seasons 1-4. Finally though, it turned the corner and was everything it should have been from the start.

Just as it gets good though, next season is the last.

i watched one episode but it didnt grab me so i passed on it. i also stopped watching breaking bad at the same time with a couple of series to go.

Better call Saul is better than Breaking Bad in my opinion, truly gripping stuff, really balances slow moving parts with big explosions of actions and brings out the characters so so well.

breaking bad i think the episode the fly? was the final nail in the coffin.
ill give Better call Saul another go.

Finally finished Breaking Bad today , tried to binge the last couple of seasons yesterday, after giving up for 6 months, Gave up at 2.40.am and started again with the last 2 this morning, everything should be limited to 3 seasons max. Might watch the follow up film, but going to give Saul a miss...

Can I just say I love and hate 'a Place in the Sun'.... theres a couple today, he was a really nice bloke, she was born sucking a lemon, obviously had sex on birthdays only... get her divorced.... !!!

Watched “ The Dig “ last night, I absolutely loved it, to say it’s boring is to not understand this type of movie. It’s based on a true story so you cannot really add 10 deaths, 3 car chases and aliens landing in the first 10 ****ing minutes. The art is in the actors and not everything is given to you on a ****ing plate. I won’t spoil it for anyone but I would like to say I ****ing hate poncey up their own arse posh people who get where they are off the backs of so called Ordinary people. The joke is on them because the so called amateur “ digger” knew far more then those university intellectuals. Ralf feinnes is superb. This was my kind of movie...Rant over !!!!
