I'm in the middle of a binge watch of the good doctor series 4. Hard to realise Freddie Highmore is a cockernee.
I woke up ridiculously early again this morning, so watched another two films...
The Foreigner (2017) - Pierce Brosnan and Jackie Chan star in a film about a Chinese Takeaway owner in London who seeks revenge after his daughter is killed in an IRA bombing. Though it has the sort of action you expect in a Chan movie, it's actually really well done (directed by Martin Campbell - GodenEye and Casino Royale) and I enjoyed it.
The White Tiger (2021) - American made, but set in India with an entirely Indian cast. Can't say much about this one without giving away the story, but it has a similar feel to Slumdog Millionaire, without being anywhere near as good. It's over two hours long and I found myself checking the clock a few times during the last half hour, which probably tells you all you need to know.
Yes, very good.Anyone dipped into ZeroZeroZero yet? Highly recommended.
cant remember if ive already mentioned (age thing) this but i liked the 2015 German film Look Whos Back
with subtitles. funny at first, slows down a bit then the end gets a bit sinister.
Adolf Hitler is the main character but its set in 2015.
finally watched all of The Shield. not on amazon prime or netflix as the quality was poor.
halfway through 3 or 4 other series so that tells you they aren't up to much.
recently watched the hateful 8
i liked it and some bits were very funny, but can see how people say its too slow. my daughter and son in law said it was rubbish and you only needed to have watched the last half hour.
the president?
of the united states?
of america?

Mrs. Two was watching Chicago Fire and I was racking my brains (leave it Rovertiger!) as to the identity of one of the actors. Eventually I twigged that it was Winston, aka Marigold, Alf Garnett's over the top camp home help!

Aye.

Moi?

Just finished Season 5 of Better Call Saul. I've been putting it off for months as it was hard work watching Seasons 1-4. Finally though, it turned the corner and was everything it should have been from the start.
Just as it gets good though, next season is the last.
Better call Saul is better than Breaking Bad in my opinion, truly gripping stuff, really balances slow moving parts with big explosions of actions and brings out the characters so so well.
