The round of applause is for those away fans who respect our song and show their support, as on Saturday, by clapping their hands. In essence just good manners.
The 'tiny minority' in the corner are the only ones who ever make an effort to get an atmosphere going, it's probably asking abit much to expect the rest of the stadium to break the habit of a lifetime and join in.
If the name change goes through i imagine the vast majority who inhabit E1 E2 will simply walk away, leaving the rest to watch the game in complete silence.

At the time people were, as they are now, peddling hearsay and rumour and just made up ****e as fact, and I was happier waiting for something official. I know that bothers you, but we're not all sad little sheep that follow the (small minority) flock on here. Was I wrong to ask for some concrete evidence to back up the claims? The context was that OLM had heard Allam was planning to change the name and posted it on here, you couldn't bear the thought of Allam doing something so daft (this was before you had to take on the persona of thinking it was a great idea in order to keep defending him) so got all snidey about it and posted those piss taking remarks, which look rather silly now.

I stated that I knew for a fact that AA was planning to change our name to Hull Tigers, you said it was bollocks, that's the context.

If the Union Flag changed to a combination of stars and stripes but the colours stayed red white and blue, would you have any objections? Would you understand if a large proportion of this country's citizens objected?
