I think many members of ctwd haven't a clue what it is about. If they think it is only about the name change they are going to be very disappointed(and possibly angry) when the co-op take over and prove the council can be out done for incompetence.

PeePee, I think you're terribly confused and desperate for attention.

Everyone who has signed up for CTWD knows the organisation's short and longer term aims. It's written on the sign up page. Obviously, people with a problem with CTWD wouldn't know that.
But when people were being urged to join initially it was being touted as a one issue group.Politics anyone

I told myself not to bother replying.but here goes anyway......
Talking about not having a clue, let's say for arguments sake the name has changed,we're now Hull Tigers Football Club. What next? How is the 20+ million pounds a year extra going to become reality?Honestly,I'd like to know because Papa Doc hasn't really said anything about a plan but maybe he's told you.Maybe you're the PR guy(with one eye on the re-branding portfolio)who convinced Assem that this is the way forward.
Maybe not though.

So Are you saying that you knew of a request from the FA?
If you have the resources why don't CTWD conduct a neutral poll today, why do you need any other group?

Fez, I asked questions and not one, not one single question ever gets fully answered straight. I point out mis leading posts and the barrage starts. You ask for facts, well mate ask away at your reps. You are a member of CTWD not me. It's your £2 on the line mate not mine.
It does seem odd to me Fez that you tear into Ricardo and analyse everyone of his words posted, but freely accept the mislead posts as simply errors. Read through my posts and find one that is clearly wrong about the name change and supporters trusts. You may believe that I have a hidden agenda, I declared my agenda, supporter involvement.

TOM - read back on your posts, because they are less than clear; I think I know where you are coming from but it is not coming across - other friendlies have said this too.
I paid my £2 because it is a numbers game as far as the FA are concerned; not because they demand numbers, but because they must acknowledge them.
I never ripped into Ricardo; I questioned his logic as I thought it confused and poorly considered; he argued it, so did I, it's a forum, that's it's purpose.
I only accept that misleading posts are errors when I either think they are, or I don't think it important or relevant - it might distract from the real issue.
This is about the name-change, it is not about fan-ownership, it is not about anything that Allam had promised or discussed on that matter. It is a red-herring, it is a nonsense; Allam will not talk to the supporters let alone go into business with them. As for investing one penny of my money into a business deal with either Allam or the fan groups surrounding the club, you've got to be having a ****ing laugh. <laugh>

I am against the name-change, I no longer attend games, buy merchandise, or support anything to do with Assem Allam as he challenged us all to do just that ad we are worthless and hooligans. I couldn't give a toss about anything other than retaining the name and integrity of Hull City AFC. If folk want to obscure that with intellectual bullshit that amounts to no more than a crock of futuristic nonsense, then good for them - I'll challenge where appropriate. I also support where appropriate and that is not playing Devil's Advocate; that notion is more borne by the posters who like to think they are smarter than they really are.

No name change is acceptable; simples <cheers>

No it wasn't. It clearly stated on the invite to join that our long tern aim was to own shares in Hull City AFC.

I seem to recall that there was a great deal of confusion amongst CTWD as to just what the real aim actually was, it was eventually stated that the primary aim was anti-name-change and that any fan ownership was no more than something being looked at because Allam had said he would be interested when in the minuteless three hour meeting.

CTWD is currently an anti-name change campaign.

We are setting up a trust, in the hope that one day Hull City fans will have a say in the running of their club, but I don't expect that to happen any time soon. Despite what AA has said, I don't expect he will ever give the fans a share of the club and he certainly won't give us all of it.

This is what you have consistently posted, but can you see why the general message is confused and divisive? Somebody needs to get a grip of communications.

I don't think it is confused, we've made our aims(both short and long term) clear, but what we would like and what is achievable(at least in the short term) are very different things.

Mr pearson Park, if Mr Allam changes his mind about the name change would you?
Thnik about your answer and why it shows how you are basically handing him your arse.

Postcard update - Around 4,000 postcards have now been distributed, don't forget to send them off people. <ok>

I didn't get one, the chap i asked had ran out. The pleasing thing though, is i didn't see any discarded ones, and i was looking, because if i'd seen any i'd would have picked them up.

I'm just hoping the fans who did get one, get them posted.

Like me, Mr P Park wouldn't be bothered....

Why would he ?
Why would I ?

In my case I prefer Hull City....

Its just not a big deal either way.

I think its the same for Mr Park.

Hull City / Hull Tigers we will still go and still follow the team as always.

Right or wrong that's just how it is.

I sang City Till I Die yesterday because I always have done
its NOT a protest song because we have sang it for years.

I never sing we say no because for me I'd have to sing 'I say I'm not bothered''

And I hope we can all die when WE WANT ....which hopefully won't be for years and years yet and that applies to EVERONE on here what ever your view or opinion might be.

I am of the opinion that the owner may have very good reason to be doing what he is doing. The fact he is keeping his cards close to his chest is what a prudent business man would do.If he changes his mind I will be fine with that.
My concern is that he may well have a sound strategy in mind to keep us in a high position for a decent period of time but this may be hampered by ctwd campaigners.
The fact that we have played some of the worlds biggest clubs in recent times is down to the savvy of the owner. If we go bust it will be due to his ineptitude. If we continue to be successful it is down to him.
He is not trying to call us the trawlerboys or change our colours.I think he has good reason for the name change but if he has to reveal this reason it will possibly destroy the plan in mind.I do not know this.Like ctwd I can only speculate. This does not mean I and others who disagree with ctwd are morons or lesser fans than those who sign flags and wear badges
