My thoughts exactly, and hope the odds are not too highly stacked, against us all being around to see the day when we can compete with the top six in this division, and then hope to complete the step up, I recon another five years should see us there all being well OaU.

PS I wrote this reply last night but did not post it, having had my attention drawn KLD's meeting with the supporters last night, I am now more certain, that with our support he will succeed in the long term. OaU

sounds good to me then.

i know we have all heard the negatives 'too young'... 'not spending'....'no experience'...'doing it on the cheap'...'not enough money'...but my view has not changed about him, basically we have a young lad venturing out with (probably) his first major purchase and normally that would be sending a few worries my way if it was not for his background, he has been around football all his life with his parents doing a grand job in their ventures so he has learned from some of the best.

money does not guarantee a room full of trophies and a permanent top 4 position (it helps, along the way of course) and as we saw with them up the road, keegoon at the time spent big money to win nowt although i will say they were a good footballing team at the time, we also tried throwing money into the club with Mr Short but he did not have the people to back him up so we know whatever the club does now it has to be done right as there are very rarely any 'quick paths to success' in this game.

I would knock 2/3 years off that total.<ok>

The players were more to blame on Saturday.

Yes the set up didn't work but that doesn't excuse endless misplaced passes ...

... when your keeper makes the most/best passes in a game you have a problem.

Big crowds, big games and big expectations don't bother Patterson, it did some of the team imo.

If some of these youngsters aspire to playing at the very highest level, they need to be able to perform in front of big crowds. So far, our best performances have been away from the SOL, when there's less pressure on them. That has to change.

He's made mistakes. He has injuries to deal with. Get him a fully fit squad and we would be right near the top of this league.. And as far as I am concerned that can still happen.

We’re sliding down the table!!

We’re in relegation form!!

We’re incapable of stringing 2 decent halves of football together.

We’re chopping & changing the midfield every game!!

Time for a few on here to wake up & smell the coffee.

IMHO he’s not doing very well.

Correct. I get people don’t like to speak negatively of managers when they have been with us a short period time, but we are currently in relegation form. Something needs to change.

We are currently in 17th place in the league are you suggesting all teams from us downward need to look at change in management.

I don't think it's those on here that recognise the factors beyond TM's control that need the reality check.

You've been constantly negative about Mowbray since he has come in though!!

Im not just not a fan of his. The most uninspiring appointment we could have asked for and just a yes man to the powers at be. Nice bloke, but not the man for this football club.

Jesus man what are you talking about? How is he ‘just a yes man’? This is what I was on about the other day I can’t stand some sections of this fanbase

How is he a yes man - he has over 800 games in management - dont get that if you are just a yes man. You only get to that if you are a good coach/manager.

Who would you have wanted instead?

Wouldn’t expect an answer. He avoids people who calls him out!!

Soagged off Simms after the weekend, yet said nothing about his contribution on Wednesday last week. Literally called him ****e. His computer was broken last week when we won as he just didn’t bother posting

I wanted Liam Manning myself, young enthusiastic manager who plays good football. The echo even done a poll which TM was bottom of, so it’s not just me.

Agree 100%, a look at his managerial history shows that Mowbray is anything but a yes man

He might turn into a decent manager but it would have been a massive risk going for him after he has had 1 season as manager. He has really struggled this season so be interesting to see if he can turn it around. I'm not saying it is just you but youve been so negative about him since he has come in. I get you didnt want him but he's our manager now so we need to just get on with it
