Tbf I don’t think anyone said we played mint Wednesday we were lucky imo but we have played bad for a couple games in a row now.
Whilst I tend to agree I do feel a manager has to be able to read the game and admit something is not working. It is not a slur on him but he must have been the only one there on Saturday who didn't spot this. It took until we conceded. That is not a Mowbray out rant but I admit to being a little concerned that he didn't see this. I think coupled on the back of a poor second half against Burnley, a poor second half against Blackpool, a poor first half against Huddersfield and a shocker against Cardiff I can't really work out why we are such a one half team. Hopefully the break gives us time to regroup.
Have to say I’d leave Neil out too. My dad argued in his favour ahead of Ba when I mentioned it but, imo, literally only because Neil is a SAFC lad. I think Ba/Evans should start. Just an opinion mind
He’s got to go for me, never wanted him in the first place if I’m honest. I’d take the World Cup break as an opportunity to have a look abroad and see if we can uncover an up and coming gem.
I don’t rate him and can’t see him taking us very far but to sack him now would be madness. He’s had no luck with injuries and deserves more time with Stewart and Ballard back in the side. Let’s see where we’re at in February…
I almost wonder if it’s his training techniques that have been causing the injuries. Muscle injuries etc never seemed to be an issue under AN.
Times and posts like this make me not want to be a mod any more. Just so I can put it on ignore! ****ing hell man, must be laugh a minute where you are, you made my Dad look like an optimist
Marcus...practically every post this guy put up during the match on Saturday was full of negativity. I don't usually comment on other posters but when it's a constant flow of saying nothing positive at all it does my head in. I know people are entitled to an opinion but ffs, as my old mam used to say "if you can't say anything nice about others it's best not to say anything at all". Said my bit now I'm off to bed.
A few posts on here saying that expecting us to be much higher in the table is unrealistic. At this moment in time I agree. However, after the world cup when we get our injured players back and we recruit a couple in January and the newer players are more integrated I fully expect us to be more consistent, go on a great run and make the playoffs under Mowbray. I'd be happy enough with mid-table but I honestly think we'll do better.
My thoughts exactly, and hope the odds are not too highly stacked, against us all being around to see the day when we can compete with the top six in this division, and then hope to complete the step up, I recon another five years should see us there all being well OaU. PS I wrote this reply last night but did not post it, having had my attention drawn KLD's meeting with the supporters last night, I am now more certain, that with our support he will succeed in the long term. OaU
At the start of the season a lot of people suggested we may win one lose one, which tends to be mid table ish form, and seemed content with that. That's exactly what's happening.
Apart from the muscle injuries suffered by Broadhead, Cirkin & Winchester towards the end of last season?
You have been quick to say mowbray should go ever since he came in... since you are so keen for him to go who would you want instead
Guess you’re basing that on performances like Saturday rather than performances like Reading or Wigan/Huddersfield second halves? Based on Those, we could easily be pushing for play offs. Consistency would see it. But, that said, I would rather finish mid table this season and consolidate.
