Nipper - what position in the table would we have to finish for you not to mo about Mobray?

The ignore button is your friend sometimes haha! I use it very sparingly but it can improve things quite a bit on occasion <wizard>

Early days for Mowbray at the moment. Give the lad a chance. He picked a team last week that I was very happy with.....didn't turn out how we would have liked but hey. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Have the term over here "armchair quarterback" where you basically watch the game and saying you should have done this, should have done that. Easy when your not standing on the touchline with the pressures of everything going on. He's an experienced manager. In my opinion a good fit for us. Availability of players hasn't gone for him but he has made in my opinion a good job of it. Beating Reading at Reading without a big lad up front was a hell of a performance and best Sunderland goal in that game for a long time. Let's just stop the bitching and moaning plus the booing at the ground and get behind the lad. Hopefully after the World Cup he will have most players available plus one or two added in January to plug the holes. Still think we will be knocking on the door for the top six at the end of the season. If it takes another couple of years to get in that position as well I'm also fine with it. Onward and upward.....HTL

Top post marra :emoticon-0148-yes:

Just watched yesterday's press conference.

He has said what type of players and positions he wants. Doesn’t know the budget or who has been identified.

Can't talk about injuries, too many of them.

Not sure if the main policy culture of the club in having young players to sell on is in line with winning football games.

Reading between the lines as it were, Birmingham big tough side not bothered about possession as such, might hammer us.

Dear old Eeyore seems even further down in the dumps than usual.

He is hoping more players fit in 2nd half of the season and that we win more points than this half!

If we win the same as this half we will still be
17th

I do fear we are going to sleepwalk into a relegation battle and then not have the stomach or experience for it. Us and Wigan look like sitting ducks right now.

I'm sure the ownership / management fear the same.

Sure there is form for clubs promoted out of division 3 making a swift return?

He had MK playing worse football than they should.

Mowbray would probably top that poll now ...

... especially if we win tomorrow <laugh>
Yeah they played too much football from the back which i hate, we play out from the back but we play through the phases quickly. I dont judge managers of 1 or 2 games but i do.think TM is the right manager for the time being

Agree mate he seems like the right bloke to help tus move forward at the minute.

Tell you what there's some crap been posted on this thread. Tony Mowbray is absolutely the right man for us right now. The way we are playing is exceptional and he fully embraces bringing young players through.. He has made players better and the team better. Whilst I recognise the achievement of promotion, we wouldn't be the team we are if Neil was still around.
