It's probably a £12m deal, including his wages, signing fee, etc.
Either that or we've been given a heads up on what the tribunal would value him at.
I've heard it as the money being the compensation any potential suitor would have to stump up if he moved as he is of a certain age.
I doubt that the compensation would be as high, but it would almost certainly include a wide variety of clauses.
Sell-on percentage, international appearances, league appearances, goals, trophies...

What's that based on? I'd heard there's a good chance it will be around £9mill if that's what you bid in January as that is considered good evidence of what he's worth.
Believe it's for training and development costs.
But the club will obviously pay hidden fees to the agent, player himself and other costs for image stuff and so on like normal.
Think we're all hoping he's a squad place swap for Aspas and Borini. Hopefully nothing more. Dubious about him but he should improve on those two wastes.
