I think that overestimates how vital Sterling is. Hadn't realised you were such a fan . He is a good player, but given the attitude he is displaying, not sure he will be such a loss. If I were a Liverpool fan, I'd want people committed to playing for my team, not overrated money grabbing twats. He'll be found out elsewhere. In the old days, I would have thought you were wumming the scousers with this, but I am fully aware you have put all that behind you.
Thank you, SD. Yes, I have put the wumming far behind me. Those days are well and truly gone. All I want, now, is to make a clean start, and engage in good, honest debate with the Mousers about how badly they will struggle to regain any semblance of the glory that they once had.
HAIG said: VOTE FOR BANTER! VOTE FOR HIAG! (my Chelsea board mod-election campaign slogan) Are we allowed to vote in their election?
Unfortunately, deedub, that election has come and gone. I didn't get elected, unfortunately. I'm not sure how many votes I got in the end, but I didn't lose my deposit, so I must have done fairly well.
I'm sure that the Mousers, being the level headed, realistic lot they are - and not in any way self deluded or having feelings of entitlement, will be only too pleased to enter into a meaningful debate about their new position in mid-table obscurity.
Don't get me wrong, NSS. I'm not expecting the Mousers to agree with my assessment of 'Pool; that would be exceedingly arrogant of me (and would probably smack, slightly, of wumming). What I am hopeful of, however, is that they will engage with me in a constructive and meaningful manner, before being persuaded to my point of view.
"Could this be the end of 'Pool as a semi-major force in Prem mid-table football, I wonder?" Nope, because until time ends completely, there is always "next year" .
"Please, Spurm, no wumming, mate. I'm trying to keep this debate clean." How heavy that burden is for you, and how well you have carried it on our behalf.
I am a man of my word, RDBD. If I say I've turned my back on my days as a Master Wum, that is how it will be, from now on. No one likes a wum, no matter how masterful they may be; what with their piss-take on every angle in an argument, and their pathetic attempts to bring levity and laughter to otherwise dour and humourless debate. The Mousers and the Gooners were right to ban me from their boards for daring to weigh-in with needless banter; I can see that, now.
John Barnes saying that Sterling should stay at Liverpool because he hasn't achieved anything has to be the worst piece of advice since Anatoly Dyatlov suggested the best way to test Chernobyl's new cooling system was to disable the safety protocols before simulating a blackout.
I heard a rumour that you might be put forward as the next Mayor of Liverpool,Hiag. What would your first job be?
I think I'd bring back public birching. I'd insist on all previous offenses being brought into account, which would mean that all Mousers from the age of 6 to 90 would have to take some lashes. I'd implement a program of around-the-clock birchings over the course of my first term in office. It might be viewed, from some quarters in Parliament, as a tough policy, but I'm confident I'd have the backing of my constituents. Yes, I'd be hard, but no one would be able to accuse me of not being fair.
It's good that we can all discuss the Mouser situation in a sensible manner and without the need for needless wumming.
He said: “I don’t care about the PR of the club and the club situation. I don’t care. “He is definitely not signing. He’s not signing for £700, £800, £900 thousand a week. He is not signing. “My job is to make sure I do the best with them (my clients). If people say I am bad at my job, or they are badly advised it does not matter." But in an extraordinary attack on one of the club’s most respected former players, Ward said: “Carragher is a kn'ob. Everybody knows it. Any of the criticism from current pundits or ex-Liverpool players - none of them things matter to me. It is not relevant." http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...k-would-not-keep-him-at-anfield-10266233.html
"......none of them things matter to me....." Might an agent with a better grasp of grammar and literacy be of help to Sterling when it comes to him deciphering and negotiating any future complicated contracts?!?!?!
And nobody cares what an agent thinks either. Sterling, however, should care about a club that has turned him from a teenager with issues (I believe) into a wealthy young man. If I were him I'd want someone with better diplomatic skills to represent me.
