How is it a dive Andy? He didn't ask the ref to give a soft penalty. He fell over and got straight up. He didn't make a meal of it or anything. Players fall over now and then.

Surely if his intention was to dive he would not have got straight up to get the ball?

I was taught as a 6/7 year old to play to the whistle.

Getting straight up doesn't prevent the decision, which the referee ****ed up.

I can't believe i'm getting stick for this <laugh>

Does he get touched? No.

Does he fall over like a sack of ****? Yes.

End.

What point are you making here? We all agree it was a soft pen. There were at least 2 better shouts in the game, maybe 3.

How many times have you seen a dive and the bloke get straight up?

Considering the number of pens you've had this season, you must've seen some dives...

By the way, you do realise everyone thinks it was a soft pen don't you?

That it was a dive. I've seen many of you (including the ones having a go at me for pointing it out) condemn diving so I find it a bit odd that you're defending him.

You'll find soft penalties in there, but you won't find dives. There's a clear difference and you know there is.

EDIT; Look out for Vardy's barnet for the Wigan game.

But it clearly wasn't a dive. How can you watch that and call it a dive, despite that he doesn't try to win a penalty at any point? He literally has no interest in a penalty, he's completely focused on the ball and tries to pass it on even after falling over.

You regularly see players trying to be fouled or knocking the ball beyond a goalkeeper with the sole aim of trying to bump into his arms and win a penalty, like Boyd did last week and Suarez does every week. Long's was the complete opposite. He's 100% focused on the ball and trying to set someone up.

What? In 3 or 4 of those your players go down way too ****ing easily.

I nearly threw up looking at Vardy's barnet as well.

There you go look at Derby's penalty in fact. One-on-one, keeper rushing out, running away from goal so no chance of scoring. Right I'll knock it just out of the keeper's reach, away from goal and wait for the contact. Far too many players doing this now it's almost becoming seen as a skill. Long's was never a dive.

Long isn't touched yet he falls over.

He's a strong lad and is known for having a low centre of gravity. He has good balance yet chooses to go down.

It's a dive. I don't know why you're denying it. It's not going to change anything <laugh>

Tell me in which games.

You won't find dives but there are some soft ones.

Oh, you can't can you?

Long getting straight up proves nothing, except perhaps that he's smarter than the average diver.

I like the fact you ended that post in the most ****ish, arrogant way possible.

vs Carlisle
vs Blackpool
the Yeovil one looks like he went down easy, but hard to tell from such a ****ty view
vs Reading Knockaert goes down easy

Obviously you won't listen and ignore anyway and say those weren't dives...

Oh, you can't can you?

While you're looking for reasons;

Dyer vs Brum; Good tackle.
De Laet vs Blackburn; Good tackle.
Knockaert vs Reading; I said at the time that it was soft, but he gets pulled back.
Vardy vs Wigan; Just running together and their legs tangle. Nothing either can do.

I can't believe i'm getting stick for this <laugh>

Long didn't appeal for a penalty. The referee gave it and Jelavic in an attempt to even things up missed it on purpose. Rosenier ever tried to head the rebound back to the keeper but he missed it. I don't see a problem?

I'm amazed you've picked the Carlisle one as thats probably the most stone wall penalty we've ever been awarded.

Blackpool - Drinkwater gets pulled down, clear as day.

Yeovil - Watch the defender for proof ffs <laugh>

It's not even the most stonewall penalty on the video, for ****s sake.

No it isn't. He drops like a ****ing stone as soon as the arm hits the shoulder.

I said the Yeovil one was a **** view.

I find it incredible anyone can say or imply that that was a dive by Long. I'll condemn any City player who dives; Boyd did it last week and we all condemned it. Long just fell over which happens to players several times a game. It's blatantly obvious from the clip that he has no intention of winning a penalty, he doesn't try to get a penalty and doesn't even look happy that he got one, he looks almost sympathetic.
