Some guy went on Kickstarter and asked for $10 to make a potato salad. He's currently on $7,798. Wish I'd thought of that.

Not keen..? Not capable..? Not got the facilities, or time or inclination..?
It's not difficult, FLT.
I have a feeling FLT is a little bit like me. Why do it yourself, when you can pay someone else to do it better?

Now I really want some potato salad.
The pic on the Kickstarter does look bloody delicious. And now I'm realising this is the third successive work day in which I've ended up talking about food and torturing myself before lunch.
If it helps, I tried finding the thread on Reddit where people were talking about it and came across /r/potatosalad which is erm... interesting. SFW but won't make you hungry.

My exact stance on pretty much all DIY.

All of the above. I am just not cut that way. I get angry, impatient, don't have the tools and have a natural ability to balls anything practical up.
That was unexpected. Along the same lines, have you seen /r/superbowl?

Yep, me too. In fairness I do actually enjoy sometimes working practically - jeeze, I spent a part of my life building a house in the Philippines and doing all sorts of extremely masculine things of that ilk out there.
I'm just not very good at it!
There is though a MASSIVE sense of satisfaction when you do something yourself though, granted (I even find that with cooking).

You been working overtime again, Chilco..?
Cooking is the best one and I'm sure FLT will be right with you there. If I ever have a Saturday or Sunday on my own with nothing to do I make chili. I bloody love my chili.
Me too. I make a mean chilli if I say so myself.
