So, no, I wouldn't ban the joke tellers or even shut the thread. Just because I read them, just because sometimes I even laugh at them, doesn't mean I condone the sentiment. Comedy has always been at the cutting edge of progress. It is only by making jokes about these things and getting them in the open that we can control and eradicate them.

Hiding the ideas away, banning them, or pretending they don't exist doesn't work. The joke teller is not condoning, he is not advocating, he is drawing attention to. Telling a racist joke does not make you a racist, any more than, it seems, joining the priesthood makes you Godly.

There is a history of trying to destroy stories we don't agree with. In my experience the people calling for the ban are usually worse than the story tellers.

There is no face to these jokes, and that's why they put them up because of no fear of consequence, Bnp have face EDL have a face and stand for what they think is right! So if these people think its right then stand by it and be judged either way, Then i would be up for it and say leave it open for discussion and ask why these jokes should be here! But till they back there jokes up its pointless.

You seem obsessed with some throw-away joke remark I made on Mboyo thread and I can't even remember what it was.

I've not passed comment on anything posted on the joke thread, I haven't even read most of it.

This whole thing is getting boring, some people seem to have an issue distinguishing jokes from reality, some people need to get out more.

I think it's time this **** got banned. He's only here to draw out arguments and force his opinion on the world. He never does anything but whinge about everything and constantly bring up the same old ****e.

And I've no idea what your job is, but as you think owning an iPad is impressive, it's probably not a very good one.

Considering people ask me to fix them i dont see them that impressive, but they do seem to sell. But you constantly reminding us you have one (dont know why?) Check your PM's. Don't think i have ever named a brand of products i use constantly. But it does come across as a bragging status when i walk in to many an office and here "Look at my IPhone/ ipad Yer i got the latest Ipad" quaff quaff, But of course the Galaxy s4, htc one and there range of tablets do come up. And android is a good open source to play around with, But with the all spying apple and android i would go with ubuntu phone.

Well for the record, My business is financial recovery, so I am a Certificated Bailiff, High Court Enforcement Officer, Private Investigator, Process Server, Auctioneer, Insolvency Agent and Business Turn Around consultant.

I use an iPad, HTC desire and One, an old lap top and have several desk tops. All of my systems are cloud based now. We are fully committed to a virtual/mobile office.
