For any tweeters out there, check out Rick's tweets(@HullCityLive) on Bruce's record at each club, it really not very impressive and he spent a bloody fortune(though he did some good deals for Wigan).

I think hes being unfair too (I follow Rick, though mostly for his daughters game predictions, shes brilliant at it, compared to Rick...who...isnt...). I mean whats Martinez's record like at Wigan? Liverpool want him? So, crap record, overall but would anyone say they wouldn't want Martinez at City because of that?

Stats are generally tweaked to how you want to see them. I mean, going on Nicks record from mid Feb - end March, who would want him?

Why doesn't Billy Davies stand out?

I really don't like the guy but thinking objectively his record in the Championship is excellent.

To be Honest I forgot all about Davies, And I'm completely with you on this one, I dont like the guy, But his championship record is very good. Wouldn't be too gutted if he got the job, Rather Bruce or McCarthy though.

Why do people think that because the Allams are Egyptian that anyone else Egyptian would want to come to City?

Barmby was English but I don't recall seeing a queue of England players lining up to join us.

Because it's the kind of bonkers thing they'd do. They did say in an interview before that they would love to see us have an Egyptian player in the team. It might have been to do with that goalie we had training with us a while ago.

Martinez doesn't look like a dinner lady and he'd be a good appointment, can he start Monday?

Steve Bruce has always been a manager I've wanted to be a failure he is so wishy washy in his after match comments. I don't know why but he makes me think of "Widow Twanky" every time he appears on TV.

The only possible connection we could have with a loan for Amr Zaki, is if he took one out at Cash Converters.

And are you sure Elmo's a good player...

If Dawson is out the door, we are gonna need a left-back and I see Jose Bosingwa has been released by Chelsea today.

You're doing it on purpose now <laugh>

What I am clearly 100% right. The earlier conversation went:

That was what was said on Blunderside at lunchtime, that the Allams have contacted his representatives."

I said "Are you sure it wasnt 'sources indicate/ we believe / it is our understanding'? and that is EXACTLY what the report did say. There is a huge difference between saying "the Allams have contacted his representatives" and "We understand..." which is the point I was making.

How can you not see this?

If you read the whole piece I pointed out that clearly it has been indicated by an authentic source at the club as an 'off the record' comment to a BBC journalist. It's part of the game I'm afraid. Because of what is called compliance and ethical reporting, they would hardly make it up. Would you prefer that they said nothing at all if something has been hinted at? If so, then when the News Of The World etc story started to break the BBC should have ignored it. You might hate the way it works BCC, but I'm merely point out what they are doing and to some extent why they do it.

I honestly cannot believe someone feels the need to tell me how journalism works.... <doh>

Is it just me or does anyone else feel this Steve Bruce deal is not as nailed on as the bookies odds suggest? not had face to face talks?

To be fair, I think it was Mike White that first mentioned contacts saying it was Steve Bruce. Burnside just jumped on the bandwagon later.

Martinez to Liverpool? Bruce back to Wigan? Bruce may want to wait for the outcome of Senor Martinez's talks with Liverpools owners, Por que no?
