I noticed with alarm last year that giant Hogweed is taking over Margate, and now I see it is creeping along the North Kent coast and can be seen around Whitstable, eh, Smudger? It was invited over here from the Caucasus Mountains and Central Asia in the 19th century as an ornamental plant but escaped and is now classified as an invasive species, along with Japanese Knotweed. It can cause nasty burns if you try to get rid of it. It's ghastly stuff, and where will it all end?

Bamboo is out of control in some middle class suburban areas too, so I heard.
Planted by trendy types in gardens around 25 years ago, it has totally destructive roots that render can properties almost worthless.

If that wasn't bad enough, Japanese soldiers who never surrendered in 1945 tend to hide among it.

On YouTube earlier today, seeing there are more tents in the Temple Bar than on a camp site<yikes>
I can see major problems as the good people of Ireland are fighting the situation:emoticon-0137-clapp:emoticon-0165-muscl

More than 700 migrants arrived on boats yesterday - all need to be fed , watered and housed at the tax payers expense! This needs to stop ffs! We’re full up and have enough people that are living in poverty without that lot turning up ! Enough is enough!

And not one of them that are pro refugee house them, I wonder why<whistle>

I offered to drive two of the women who work in the assembly area of our factory at the end of last week, because they were afraid to walk the mile to their front doors due to online talk about a planned anti-immigration march on Wembley High Road. Those workers are not Muslims or refugees but they are Asian - and they were fearful of the potential violence that might be aimed at them simply for not being white.

I've known them for years. They are good, kind and hard working people.
They declined my offer, because they didn't want me to become a target for violence if rioters saw me with them.

@Watameire play nicely with the Elf and I'll not call you nasty names <laugh>

Please be mindful that there are certainly two members on here who are in line with my views<cheers>

Elfling, my new year resolution of not calling you out as an <<insert expletive>> still stands.

Seriously tho, I have no intention in contributing to this thread or even reading it. Watching Charlton at present is depressing enough.

Can I comment on this one ??

If you wish - though I did ask people not to revisit my old posts on this thread.
It related to what was happening in West London about 18 months ago.
Matters have moved on and calm has long since been restored since then, at least in the neighbourhood where our factory is situated.

Mass migration is the biggest crisis we are facing. Millions of young men moving west is a disaster that our limp-wristed politicians have allowed to happen.

Illegal migrants should be placed in internment camps with high barbed wire fencing, watchtowers, tents, latrines and soup kitchens. They should not be in cosy hotel rooms with central heating, hot showers and three meals a day, which is more than a lot of our pensioners can afford. The army must administer these camps.

These men are wandering freely, yet we know nothing about them or their intentions. The government's first duty is to keep the citizens safe, but they have failed dismally. How many more victims of theft, sexual assault and even murder must we tolerate before something is done?

Fact is, the UK is finished. The same goes for Ireland, Sweden and Belgium. We've all been destroyed by cowardice. Or is it by design? Either way, it is a tragedy.
