The Mayans predicted that the world would have ended by now. They didn't foresee Meyler as a Hull City player. He's a wildcard.
Meyler can't pass, gives away daft free kicks and breaks up our attacks - some people think he's great because he runs round in circles - he should never have been picked today, any luck he wont be picked again - our midfield should be Irvine, Stewart, Bowan and Larssen - Meyler is a liability, he lost us 2 points at Norwich with his daft sending off - he lost us 3 points today continually giving the ball away, he really should have worn a red shirt today he would have been their top passer
He was so bad today that Sam Mattaface was seriously suggesting he had a problem with colour blindness and could not distinguish red from black and amber. It was the only way he could justify such a poor performance. Unbelievable Talkshite or does meyler always play poorly against teams in red?
Dear Donkey Dick David ,Via Twitter account. Pls take a day off from being yourself , preferably on Tuesday night. Any reason to excuse yourself will be acceptable.
That was my point. And Meyler just had a bad day, whereas Henriksen completely bottled it once again and he doesn't have his own thread. It's far too cool to criticise Meyler.
Meyler didn’t have a good game, but I don’t think he was as bad as some as saying The reason he makes mistakes is that he generally has the desire to be there and trying to do something in the first place I have more of an issue with those that hide instead
to be fair yesterday was a typical Meyler performance and a typical Henriksen performance - the only difference is that Henriksen is ineffective and doesn't take the ball off the opposition whilst Meyler continually gives the ball to the opposition - just as bad as each other really, I can't understand for the life of me why he picks either of them - time for Slutsky to drop both and put in Stewart and Irvine in the middle
He's either good, or ****. You never get a middle, though last night me and the lads were wondering why is wasn't hauled off at h/t
He was by some stretch. I really don't think there's an argument to be had there, that was the worst performance he's ever had, and he's had some stinkers over the years.
Hen seems to play an awful lot with his back to the goal. Take last night, there was a time when he received a pass with his back to the goal. He could have turned 180' and ran towards the goal, but immediately played it backwards. Either no one is shouting 'time' and 'space' or he's really short on confidence. Might be one or the other or both. Not sure what Slutsky is doing. He has no idea of his best side and as no plan B / C or D. Middle table also ran's at best.
Meyler’s had a good season so far, he just had an off day yesterday. Henriksen’s just the opposite, he had a good first half against Norwich, but has been useless the rest of the time.
Meyler had a complete stinker, I'd even go so far as to say he lost us the game. However he won't play that badly again for a long time and I still think the team needs him. Henriksen also had a stinker but the team doesn't need him so he can go jump in a lake. I'm becoming more concerned about Slutsky's suitability for the job, he's had long enough now to understand what he's got but his team selections still raise questions.
Yesterday brought all the old fears about consistency of our squad back again for me. Without going overboard we can play a hell of a lot better than that but even then,we will not make a serious challenge on the top six with this squad. As for Meyler,he has been around long enough for everyone to make up there mind about him. He talks a good game but sadly goes awol too often and most who attend on a regular basis know that. The fact no one came in for him during the summer sales says a lot. He and a few more now get a regular start now only because we are back in Chumpionship or in Meylers case plays for Ireland. Hendrickson on the other hand simply should never have been signed and he epitomizes the panic signings we made and why we will probably continue to ship goals in all season until massive changes are made at the very very top.
