Membership scheme vote - Concessions to return...

Wonder who is gonna be counting the votes...

Obviously B is the infinitely better option, it has concessions. But I'm not going back until they've been removed from the club.

However I regard the message (to members only and not the missing thousands) with suspicion, after all Ehab Allam uses the word 'sincerely'.

Depends whether your seats are in the propose rezoned family areas in south, east and west. In the family south area, for an adult and a junior 11-14, option A is £39 and option B is £40.50. Not that different.

The other reason for avoiding this new family bundle, is that it ties you all in together. So if circumstances change and you don’t want to get your tickets together in one direct debit, what happens then?

At least with Option B, you know what you’re getting and can presumably start and stop each membership at any time within the usual terms.

More disingenuous bollocks. The options have obviously been written in such a way as to get endorsement of their non-choice family bundle, so they can claim consultation and “it’s what the fans want”. Deeply reminiscent of “yes to hull city tigers with the Allams in charge”.

Option B all the way for me as it is full restoration of concessions without conditions or complications. Whether enough people agree and potentially vote against their wallet is another matter because current members obviously feel comfortable enough with the current system to continue to handover their money (and I count myself in that, conflicted as I am about it).

If they truly cared enough to want to get a pricing structure that would up the gates, then this vote should have been rolled out to anyone who has been a member for at least a season at any point in the last 5 years. There maybe enough folk who would come back with the proper restoration of concessions even with Allams still in charge.

I doubt it though. I stand by my original assessment.

The devil is in the detail , although if you want to put the away fans in the north stand and move back to E1-3 then hey presto

How many clubs would give clubs 4,000 tickets when they only need to give 2,500. If it was that say in the PL there would be 4,000 away fans at virtually every game and 1,500 possible home fans missing out. Not that is likely to be a problem any time soon. Or if ever.

Our club because we only have 12k fans, we might get 3/4K back, but there’s plenty of scope to allow 4K away fans in, Barnsley allow 5.5k away fans

I was postulating about what the situation would be in the PL when potential home fans could possibly lose out. I know in the Championship some clubs give far more than the required amount, but that wasn't my point.

Am I missing something? The two models (if B is voted) will just encourage everybody to move to the East stand from the South (or the family areas) if taking kids. They’re going to save money and get better seats - Ehab really thought that one through when trying to stick to his no concessions thing.

I would have thought that by the numbers of people giving up their membership then its run its course, however, the fundamental problem lies in the lack of investment in the squad, meaning no matter if the scheme is revamped/kicked into touch/ tinkered with etc, it will have minimum effect on the numbers going through the doors on a Saturday. Its not rocket science.

I can't believe that would actually be the proposal, but then it's City so they really need to clarify.

Personally I hope people vote. It's by far the best one yet and it's be a big step to improving the situation at the club. I hate the Allams but there's no point refusing to accept something good when it is offered. This for the first time looks like a genuine proposal to bring back concessions. We've fought for that for years and it's really quite unexpected that Ehab has backed down on it.

Want concessions back? Vote B
Want to keep a seat in North Stand more than you want concessions back, or aren’t bothered about concessions? Vote A.

I would suggest ignoring the prices. Ultimately the prices will be determined by the level of crowds being attracted. We can see that by the discounts applied to plan A prices compared to this season. If they continue to lose fans under Plan B, the prices will come down again.
