I did get an email eventually from someone called Gareth at the club and the 'problem' was sorted. So credit where credit is due.
It'll be interesting to see what impact the new government rules have on stadiums getting back into the swing of things. I also had a response from the club and I told them that I really will be expecting refunds if we can't go back into stadiums long term.
It’s a Gareth that’s been answering me recently Seems reasonably responsive from my experience (him as an individual)
I emailed them and said I didn’t want vouchers etc but all they needed to do stop me cancelling was reassure me they would refund, even if that was only the gap between £17 a game and the £10 stream. Answer was. No we can’t tell you that, we haven’t decided yet. ...sadly I cancelled as a result
'Organised sport will carry on but pilot events will be revised and fans attending sport stadiums on October 1st will need to be reviewed'. Might well be next year before fans are allowed in again now.
So now no attending games in October....no radio commentary n bet the bloody streams go belly up as well
Not wanting to give them any ideas but knowing what petty, vindictive childish ****s they are, how about if they put the club into voluntary liquidation as it's no longer a viable business, that would leave all the remaining members out of pocket too.
So what would you do when your business is already millions in debt and losing more every week? how about going to the bank for a loan you know you couldn't pay back or say enough is enough and go into voluntary admin? It's what loss making businesses do all the time.
Possibly, although depending what the actual guidance says it might be no real difference (apart from start dates looking further away) To be honest the way they’ve handled the communications around covid was a bigger factor than the refunds. I have no confidence they’ll manage things properly when they are able to.
They’d love to I imagine, but it would cost them too and their money is, just, more important to them than not backing down to fans (or viruses)
They have guaranteed future transfer income which they would lose, they are still getting 5% interest payment on the debt etc... If you think they would kiss goodbye to that then your daft. We aren't a huge loss making business at all
The loss is a Division almost every season. The value of the "asset" is tumbling rapidly...Tumblers to the vault
As Allamhouse is owed the most money I think they would still be able to get the transfer money as it comes in and any income from asset sales. Might be wrong.
The transfer money isn't owed to Allam house though it's owed to the club though so who the club owe money to doesn't make a difference, if they the club goes into admin the allams would lose the club and pretty much all debt owed bar a few pence in the pound. I may be wrong but I just don't see them doing it at all. Financially they would b better off selling the club for say £10m and just writing off the debt as apposed to admin
The club have £15m to come in transfer income and could sell the club tomorrow for another £15m, they’re quite obviously not going to walk away from £30m.
