You know that, I know that. Our team of Premier League scouts? Apparently not . For ****'s sake, do they even have access to ****ing google!? **** signing. Our boardroom is filled with ****s.
Sam knows a good defender when he sees one so I'm not going doubt the lad's ability. But it's one hell of a ****ing gamble.
Absolutely. Bayern don't sign ****e, I'm sure the lad is probably better than anything we have. But if he only plays 5 games between now and the end of the season he's not much use to us. I'm just getting frustrated at our transfer policy, seems like we never learn our lessons. We're really playing with fire here, if we **** this window up we're down. Can't afford gambles to save a few quid. What's £5million or so to get a reliable defender in, compared to how much we'll lose if we go down?
maybe we have been stung to many times by players made of glass mate, plus we may end up being relegated if tight arse Short wont flash the cash ex Where did it all go wrong for Januzaj? Man United didn't want him back, Dortmund don't need him and his Belgium team-mates think he is cocky... now it's time for him to grow up and start again please log in to view this image Having arrived back at Manchester United after a season-long loan at Borussia Dortmund was cut short, Januzaj is a young footballer who has totally lost his way. Despite the happiness felt by some United fans at the return of a prodigiously talented footballer, Januzaj has not been recalled by Louis van Gaal because the Old Trafford manager wants to put him in his team. He has come back simply because he asked to, because four months in the Bundesliga have not brought him a single league start and he clearly saw no way of that changing. now thats worth a shout he who dares mate
Not sure what else to expect though. Any signing we make this window will be a gamble IMO.. Simply due to the fact that we're second bottom. We're not an attractive proposition. No proven players are going to want to sign for perennial strugglers.
The last thing we need in our present plight is a player with attitude as Januzaj seems to have despite having bags of talent. Battlers only please.
Any signing is a gamble but that's just a boring cliche. This bloke is an actual gamble. 33 games, 18 of which has been off the bench in three seasons, all because of one recurring foot injury. So we can only sign players with a shambolic injury history? I'd say yeah because of the money involved in this transfer what can we get for that pittance? We can have as many overseas loans as we want. There must be plenty out there who aren't this prone to injury. Nice healthy loan fee to bring someone decent and fit. We won't though as Short wants to go down with a pathetic whimper.
This^^^ Undoubted talent but someone who you wouldn't want near a struggling side! If you could get his head out of his arse then great but what's the point in signing someone with an attitude problem when we need fighters and battlers. There again - we have Johnson!
We are terrible on this forum. We sign a player for big money (we were ripped off) We sign a player for small money (he is obviously not good enough) We sign a player from a lesser side (he is not good enough for the Premier League) We sign a player from one of the top clubs in Europe (he is a crock) We sign a free agent (he must be a trouble maker) We sign an experienced player (he is too old and past it) Moan Moan Moan Moan Moan We signed Adam Johnson from a top team, at the right age, for the right price, a local lad, everyone was happy........ and he has been ****e, plus he might end up in prison for a while. This forum is so negative at times.
Vegas you have pretty much summed up being a Sunderland fan - personally - I'm happy with any reinforcements Sam is able to bring in. Then again - I'm an optimist (and I don't want anyone giving me bullshit about pessimists being realistic - they're not - they're just pessimists and no more realistic than me!)
So it's a fact that he's got an attitude problem? Even so, maybe he might now look for the opportunity to resurrect his career like M'Villa. We were after him on loan once, but are we now up to uor domestic loan quota?
Not sure - Januzaj has a prima donna feel to him (from my point of view anyhow) and you can;t afford prima donna's at our club. We signed M'Vila before we were truly in this sort of ****e! He wasn;t joining a struggling side - it might work. As for the domestic loan - thought we only had Yedlin? Am racking my brains trying to think of who else we have
But he's a soft german (as SA likes to call them) Nah. I know zero about this player, so fingers crossed he turns out a real bargain
No it's not a fact. The Belgian coach said he kept 'nutmegging' his team mates in training and that lead to him being isolated as they all spat their dummies out. He's a young lad with bags of talent, he just needs a very good coach to sit him down and teach him how to apply it. If Fergie was still in charge of United things would be very different, LVG doesn't believe in youth like Fergie did. The media have reported that United 'Didn't want him back', bullshit. Not sure he'd be a great asset to have in a relegation fight, aged 21... probably not the answer right now.
Yeah think that's my point - from the (admittedly few) times I've seen him play he strikes me as a prima donna - bags of talent though - prima donna's when you're fighting for top 6 are OK (Ronaldo was a prima donna too) He's certainly doesn;t strike me as something we need at the moment - although he couldn;t do much worse than AJ!
His club say we acted diabolically in not signing him as the deal was all but done - £5m deal with them - but we pulled out, from reading between the lines, because the player asked for silly money and, I reckon (only guessing from various reports) he wouldn;t take a relegation wage cut clause in his contract
