Other clubs manage to get really good players on the cheap so maybe we are due one as well. Now that we are splashing out the cash I wonder who the next one will be. Maybe even more expensive.
Relax - this is the dawn of a new era! We're on the brink of greatness. The transfers in this window are all going to pay off. This time next year there'll be people calling for Sam's head 'cos we're only 11th in the Premiership
I know he played non league a lot. Did he? Is it the same team doing the medicals as all of these crocks we have signed? Is it a new medical team? As I posted on another thread this bloke with one leg will be better than some of the sh*te we have. I'm happy to find out
I'm too young to remember him signing but I know we signed him for about £300k from Watford. Never know, he could turn out to be a great signing, here's hoping.
Aye a couple of expensive, fit athletes who have no history of injury problems before or since, and have denied failed a medical.... yet the likes of Brown, Rodwell, Kaboul, Matthews pass with flying colours. I wonder if "Mr £750k" will pass
Hes trained day in day out under Peps guidance with the likes of Lahm, Műller, Ribery, Alonso, Robben etc so that'll do for me. One things for sure hes not gona be a Defender that hoofs it up the field every chance he gets.
When did it start? He arrived yesterday - I very much doubt the medical process would start until today. Guessing we may find out tomorrow all in all
Imminent Sunderland signing Jan Kirchhoff says he has rejected offers from three Bundesliga sides to move to the Stadium of Light. Kirchhoff is expected to be unveiled by Sunderland today after flying to the North East yesterday to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms with the Black Cats. Sunderland will sign Kirchhoff in a cut-price £750,000 deal after he had only six months remaining on his contract at Bayern. But with such a low fee for Kirchhoff - whose time at Bayern has been marred by injury problems - there was plenty of interest in the centre-half, including fellow German sides Eintracht Frankfurt, VfB Stuttgart and FC Augsburg. "I had several options There were requests from the Bundesliga, but I didn't really consider them or to stay at Bayern," he told German newspaper Kicker. "I'm looking forward to playing in England and the new challenge."
More money here: Jan Kirchinggg! You never know with these guys anyway. We would have been chuffed to sign Sturridge, but how many games has he missed for the bin-dippers? Or Mandy Carroll at West Ham?
