max is good and tbh almiron is very good for 20 million these days

Yes, they were both decent signings. They've made one so far bad one, but it's not my money so I don't care about Joelintons price tag.

We gave our best striker away to Fulham, then we borrowed someone elses for a season. I'm still so disappointed in that short sighted management, atleast they tried something different with Joelinton although it hasn't worked out. Spending money and taking a gamble has shown more ambition than we've even attempted in years.

Anyone have any idea how many muscle injuries there have been this week across the EPL? I swear there were 3/4 over the weekend, and another couple in mid week and more the weekend before. Saw Bournemouth, West Ham and us lose players to hammy's alone this weekend.

I don't want to see a Christmas break personally but surely there has got to be a way to spread the games more evenly across the year considering most other countries have a 3-4 week break at this time of year and manage to fit their games in.

I'd also say it is a squad game and maybe the managers need to have a look at themselves a bit - I know Bruce has come out and said he will kick himself if its a bad one, which it almost undoubtedly is - Apart from our defence where we have had a mini injury crisis I don't think we have made a change to the front 5 apart from Hayden suspension, Longstaff suspension and Carroll for Joelinton in midweek this year since we got the first team players fit in the first 4/5 games meaning they've all played the last 10 on the bounce pretty much.

Maybe the captain was right players like ASM need a break and while they aren't great, there are alternatives in Atsu, Gayle, Muto etc.

In regards to ASM 2 points -
1) Anyone see him shivering before the game in the huddle - fooking hillarious
2) I don't think I've seen a game where he looks like he is hitting the same heights after 50-60 mins in games so what he was doing on the pitch in the 91st min was a mystery considering he picked up a knock midweek whereas Miggy I think you could have him run up and down for 180 mins and he'd be just a effective (how effective is up for debate but he'd still hit the same level from min 1-180)

Cancel or reduce the number of meaningless international breaks.

confirmed 4 weeks before max might be available, so lookslike feb before he's starting games

Is Matt Ritchie dead?

He hasn't been mentioned once and i assume he's injured?

was back training for about a day and wasn't comfortable , so they looked again and discovered a fragment of bone had come away into a tendon .I believe he is back January.

We're ****ed

we will struggle I mean we've been winning games by the skin of our teeth anyway. our form improved when he was introduced into the side and it was no coincidence that that was the case .

indeed and that's why I think we should ty joelinton there to see if he can even play his position and carroll up top

Carroll won't be to play every game over Xmas though. We're probably going to have to change the formation as we have no depth whatsoever
