If he keeps this up through out the season, then he will be itching for another step up. It will be interesting to see what happens when he get 2 or 3 poor result.

Him and his team got used to the PL with us.
He was never going to fail.
Especially after Merson's spew.
He's still dead to me now.
They did have that loss to Man City.
Merson rightly is getting slated on social media again, but Phil Thompson was as bad, but doesn't seem to get the flack Merson gets.
I think so too.silva will end up at arsenal. that'll make merson happy.
I get your point on this one,but in general, Merson regularly comes out with similar quality crap. I got the feeling Thompson was egging him on too.Merson rightly is getting slated on social media again, but Phil Thompson was as bad, but doesn't seem to get the flack Merson gets.
He did, he's clearly a bit thick.Didn't Merson at one point suggest Henry would be a good British manager?
Wouldn't be surprised to see him in line for a top job in a season or two. Might need to step up from Watford to Everton or West Ham (who I don't see as bigger than Watford, but there seems to be a different perception of) before going up to a Top 6 job.

We were once top five at Xmas. Or was it top half...
Long way to go yet. He inherited a decent squad
These things are arguable, but even so, I'd say WHU are clearly a much bigger club than Watford.

Cleverley wasn't marking Mertesacker, he was doing what we tried to do last year. The smaller men attempt to disrupt/block the bigger opposition and the big guys defend their space.I might be a bit behind here but I notice Watford were criticised for having Cleverley attempting to mark Mertesacker at a corner. I really like Silva but it's really weird how he doesn't seem to mind conceding from set pieces at all.
