Its crazy that they hate us so much just for daring to beat them on their own patch and being spat at. The bitterness over that incident when Horton was the victim is incredible.
They don't give a monkeys toss about us. This story has probably been over blown ridiculously by some of our fans.
What's crazy is you thinking Arsenal hate us...most couldn't give a **** let alone remember that incident, and I work with a lot of Arsenal fans. In fact is sounds like a wannabe TWS v Man U thing, except slightly more cringey. Fabregarse left them ages ago, It was a big deal to us at the time, for like a week, but most of us have moved on. If the Arse played us at the weekend, Im quite sure most of us would quite rightly applaud Mannone. Stop crying over something that happened years ago and for the most part involved people no longer at either club.
Judging by their comments of the various forums, the Horton-Brown incident, together with the win there, still rankles, and causes the dummies to be spat out.
They might have had a few grumblings over the spittlegate incident and how Browny & Horton handled themselves, as we do with Fabregas, but to make out we're actual rivals with Arsenal because of it is daft.
I'm just basing it solely on the comments we used to get from them on the old 606 and maybe this one too (I can't remember). They absolutely couldn't stand us. I've never seen a more unreasonable set of fans, even when the Leicester lot were at their wumming best they weren't as bad as the Arsenal fans. I certainly don't want anyone to hate us, like you say that's a silly TWS thing. I'd join you in applauding Mannone. I'm not saying I have a problem with Arsenal, simply that based on what I've seen mainly on the internet, a lot of their fans despise us. Mostly over the Horton/Fabregas thing. I don't know if you're deliberately using the term 'crying' because I said it the other day but that's a bit of an over-reaction (even for you) isn't it? All I said was I can't understand why they hate us. If your experiences suggest they don't then fine. No need to start going on about me engineering a pretend Arsenal rivalry. I'm just saying what I've seen and I certainly won't be the only one. No one is saying we have a footballing rivalry with Arsenal, Golaccio.
I was out for lunch with gooner yesterday, I mentioned that we did 'mauled' at Leeds, for the first time since the Emirates. He was definitely still bitter.
