This current stupidity, from Newcastle pubs, is childish and crass in my opinion.

Somehow they must think this sort of thing gets to us but it's just supremely sad behaviour. 7 year olds would look at it and go 'that's immature like'.

They do think it gets to us, even though it doesn't. We just think it's sad, pathetic, immature and ridiculous. We scratch out heads at why they do it, like turning up to our away games in their mag shirts, normal people don't do that, but they think it's clever. And it's getting worse because of the numbnuts who try and out mag each other. There's not enough sensible ones who'll say "come on man and grow up, that's pathetic and you're making us look stupid", because more and more are jumping on the band wagon to make themselves look like super mags and are scared of not looking passionate enough.

It's well and truly pissed on their chips. Not just that we got promoted but the way we did it has completely overshadowed their greatest moment for a lifetime. What were seeing now is just how deeply it's got under their skin, that and utter fear.

We entertained everyone in the playoffs, Palace won the FA Cup, Forest made Europe, etc …

… Newcastle winning the League Cup was only worldwide news in Newcastle.
