Some cracking posts marra, and I did see the one about me <cheers>

You'll probably need to have a few more sessions before you tackle the transfers thread in January... when all the usual suspects return

Yes it’s funny how some people can barely be bothered to post on this forum …

… unless they need a platform for their ‘information’ which is basically what they’ve copied from other identical forums.

Apparently it’s possible to ‘break a story’ by posting it to a dozen people on here ten minutes before the media announce it.

Predictably, one of the first replies about the Keel Crossing opening is from a mag slagging it off. Toomminator by name, halfwit by nature. Honestly, they call us obsessed yet they're the ones commenting on anything Sunderland related, we live in their heads rent free yet they think it gets to us and upsets us. No, we just think that they're insular, hypocritical, unironic, self aggrandising, pathetic morons with incredibly boring and shallow lives.

<laugh> They've brainwashed themselves into thinking they're the best, they've got it all and nothing can compare. However, every episode like this confirms how paranoid they are that we'll catch them up....off the field and on.....their insecurity is hilarious.

If the venue was Newcastle it would be sad . If the venue was Newcastle and it was happening at the time it would be sad.
But in another part of the country , amid a different sport , and long after the situation ???
words just escape , as does any comprehension

I've been getting full analysis of every touch he's had in a red shirt from a lad at work. Apparently he was always ****e and they over hyped him, but about 3 months ago the same lad would have been offended if you said Liverpool had offered less than 200m. They are a parody of themselves

Scoring a goal in a cup final and Tommy scoring that goal, both at Wembley . . . . both goalscorers have since left their clubs.

Almost exactly the same, but two completely different reactions from the fans . . . . one group who really appreciate what the player did, and one group of absolute idiots :emoticon-0100-smile

There is no way anything in science can be proven absolute with 100% certainty. The Wikipedia page gave the clearest example ...

… ‘The closest thing we have to ‘absolute’ is how stupid Newcastle supporters are’.

And that's Einstein speaking, case closed.

Tommy and Isak both knew they were leaving, Tommy scores a goal that gave us success. He leaves with eternal thanks and best wishes.
Isak scores and brings silver and long waited cup success he leaves with hatred.
Why the feck would anyone want to play for them?.

Clearly, after the summer just gone, quite a few prefer to swerve them.

Some will have private reasons. If they are good enough they will find clubs ready to pay the fees and wages required, then some will go there and play without the baggage of representing Saudi Arabia. I have no doubt whatsoever that this will be the unspoken reason for some of their failures in the transfer market which appear odd on the surface.

The treatment of, and subsequent obsession with Isak will not help matters. Players and agents talk to each other. Almost no player will have any club loyalty, they come from all over and mostly do their best wherever they land. That's the game.

But they will all note the cursory remarks from the Saudis when Isak left, and the continuing vilification from supporters for whom he was virtually the Risen Son only a few months ago, but who now quite literally cannot get over the fact that he has left.

    Why put up with that?

Steve Coogan has highlighted the Saudis in his excellent new Alan Partridge series. As always, with Coogan, he puts a political message across very well and subtly. I appreciate he is not everyones cup of tea but I think it’s in episode 2 - and I would encourage all to watch it and I certainly thought well done Coogan!
