Aye, my best mates a mackem and he told me about this thread, so had to see it for myself. Didn't realise you'd clocked up 385 pages of commenting on the club up the road that you hate and don't class as rivals anymore....i think that's was this is all about? He wasn't very clear and there's no way i'm reading all of this.

Why don't you take a look at the Mag board, there's Sunderland threads going back almost as long as it's been since Newcastle last won at Wembley. It's quite normal and only 'obsessed' if you're desperate to make a point. It's a football rivalry just as Portsmouth have Southampton threads and Liverpool with Everton.

It's just a daft little chat forum, no one ever took it seriously ...

... until you turned up.

I know you wanted to come on boasting today, you're hurt aren't you :emoticon-0114-dull:

I was also told, wait for it, South Tyneside isn’t all Sunderland (I never claimed they were) and as a matter of fact “there aren’t many Sunderland fans in South Tyneside.” :emoticon-0102-bigsm
They are absolutely clueless mind
Indeed. And it’s funny that all of the mags on South Tyneside think it’s all Mags in south Tyneside. And all of the SAFC fans living there accept that there’s a fairly even split!

If you've actually bothered to look through the thread, it's for us to laugh at people like you (Skunks) and the reason there's a few pages covering yesterday's game at Wembley is that it gave us some amusement. It had died down slightly until you turned up............... but I'm glad you're not obsessed

Consett’s MP “ would like to pay tribute to the “”” 100.000+”” toon fans that made the trip to London. “

Seriously would the Manchester MP pay tribute to supporters who wanted to watch their team play in a cup final ...

... people go to Wembley for fun, it's not a charity walk ffs <laugh>

I keep seeing Mags consoling themselves by claiming yesterday was just the first of an annual trip to collect trophies at Wembley.

That's all very nice but they're delusional as usual.
(Canny rhyme I thought.)

Their opponents, yesterday, have spent a fortune bringing in world class players like Ronaldo, Pogba, etc ... oops. They've spent another fortune hiring and firing a succession of seemingly top class managers.

The League Cup, not the most prestigious trophy, is their first since 2017 and this is a club with a history of serial trophies, sometimes two or three in a season ...

... meanwhile Newcastle have a history of trophy-avoidance dating back decades.

They had a very fortunate run to the final but still managed to make hard work of it. The idea that throwing money around quarantees success seems to have hit the buffers at Everton who may well be relegated ... just one example.

Howe obviously isn't up to the job, too timid and desperate to be one of the lads, so will be replaced. As Utd found out, after Ferguson, that's not easy, good managers can simply be a bad fit at certain clubs.

And now the Mags have decided trophies are imminent the pressure increases another notch.

I know lads that booked up, with no tickets to purely go to trafalgar.

Copying Sunderland once again, loads went down for the playoff final knowing they wouldn't get in.
