Surely Tan signs the cheques?

I don't understand how the manager can 'sign' players over the budget.

They'd all be doing it wouldn't they?

Is it a Grillo sisters franchise club?

Depends on how it is set up, but go back and read the posts as it paints a better picture than this brief comment.

Lol

Seems to me you wish t to play silly games with the truth, why? I joined the CTWD campaign as a result of reading of it on this board, where the fledgling campaign conducted some of its recruitment; so when I have a sincere question I don't expect to receive vague and deliberately incomplete answers, such as yours.
What difference does MM staying make to the way Cardiff have been dragged through the mud, the distinction you make puzzles me? MM is a football manager, they come and go in all sorts of bizarre ways. The blog expresses an opinion, which reads as if it is the opinion of CTWD, that he has done well and does not deserve the sack. Do you have a full feedback on the various views of your membership? Do you know the full detail of the email he received, has either he, his chairman or the owner confided in you? It seems to me that you made a massive comment on the nature of the fallout, you have supported MM on his record as a manager and that includes buying and selling players within a budget. Prior to this thread being created, some of us were discussing the record of MM in the transfer market and we seemed to have a common view that his statement about January acquisitions was a tad cheeky; do you not think he was goading his boss? But I digress, my opinion and yours, or any other is not that of CTWD. It has been said many times on here, by campaign supporters, as well as others, that club's colours are a changing feast and by far less important than the club name.
You, or whoever wrote that blog on behalf of CTWD, has brought the campaign into the realm of football opinion on another club and that is inappropriate, foolish and opens the campaign to unnecessary criticism.

You have created a campaign group against the name-change, which is the sorry brain-child of AA, I have seen some pretty stark criticisms by known powers within the campaign and you expect me to believe you have no problem with his ownership? You either have or you have no idea what it is you are up against.

The blog didn't oppose his sacking. It said from the outside it looked odd. The blog expressed sympathy to the Cardiff City fans for the "resign or else" way it had been presented. Nothing else. We have adopted no position on whether the sacking is deserved or not.

Since the beginning of our campaign we have supported those Cardiff City supporters that want their team to play in blue. We have had no criticism for doing so. We feel that fans should have a say in the name, the colours and the badge. For us its the name, for Cardiff its the colours, only Everton have asked the fans and given them a choice over the badge.

I want a fan owned club, Assem Allam can help achieve that. Our position on Assem Allam hasn't changed since day 1. In the meantime we take the fight against the name change to the FA Council.

Do you not see the danger though in pursuing an alternate objective.
You can achieve keeping the name without having a fan-owned club.
Your members have signed-up to keep the name, not to change the organisational ownership of the club.

Retaining our name is our current aim, we're also looking at setting up a trust but it hasn't happened yet, when it does we'll put it to our members, but until then, we're an anti-name change campaign group.

We feel, as do most impartial outsiders, that Malky Mackay has delivered the same thing at the Cardiff City Stadium. Against a back drop discontent, he produced a promotion winning team from scratch and has strengthened it wisely, achieving some memorable results in the top flight.d

I think you gave an opinion in the name of CTWD.

So Obi, will you be blogging every time another clubs manager gets sacked? How about blogging on how you support the Man Utd protests against the Glaziers? Or all the other clubs with their own issues on "bad" owners? Can we expect a blog from you every time something you feel is unjustified that affects other fans? First Hull City, then the FA? Are you just limiting your support of other fans to football issues or can we expect to see your views on the situation in Syria or the government monitoring of its citizens?

Yeah, all stupid stuff, but you don't seem to see how the situation at Cardiff, which is none of your business, and didn't turn out like most people expected (yet, I admit) and you think CTWD are entitled to comment on it on their official blog.

1 issue campaign my arse. Chazz was right about you all along.

I don't like the sound of this at all. What do the ringleaders of a protest group know about running a football club?

All this fan camaraderie is nonsense anyway.... the Liverpool fans were polite to Mackay because they'd just thumped them 3-1.
I can't imagine there would have been many applauses should Cardiff have won the game 1-0 on a dodgy penalty decision.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm pleased that Cardiff are going through their current turmoil.

You are dead right. If Cardiff stayed up at our expense then we wouldn't give a flying **** about their problems.

We didn't give a **** about them before all this name change stuff blew up either. They know this too.

Really, so the name change must have been going on at least since party atmosphere after Deano's goal at their place, when Ridsdale got the champagne out..

That doesn't make any sense Dutch...

Their colour changes and other shenanigans predate our name change one. Until the last month, we had no one calling for all fans to be united against the tyranny of owners, and with recent blogs the ante has been upped.

I thought there'd been a fair bit of discussion between us? For example, I was talking to a fair few of them about the Huddersfield shennanigans because of the earlier dialogues we'd had and that included joint support. Fans from other clubs joined that campaign too.

I would say that that assessment of Malky Mackay is closer to fact than opinion. He got Cardiff City promoted. He strengthened the team and beat Manchester City and Swansea City and drew with Manchester United.

I would say based on his record most impartial outsiders think he has delivered. Steve Bruce certainly thought so when he said "From the outside they should be really thanking Malky, he has done a wonderful job... He gets them up, and is making a fist of keeping them up."

The fact that we are outsiders means that we don't know all the facts about what happened so the blog refrained from saying he shouldn't be sacked.

As I understand it, the ring leaders of a protest group are not proposing to run a football club.

Let's not forget, the Cardiff fans would have pissed themselves laughing for spoiling the KC party had Leeds scum not done us a favour at Watford.
