Ok, so now know you're not talking about the name change, what were the things you're talking about?
I was too young to remember much of BP and nothing before 98, so I'm interested to know what went on. If the situation between some fans was as bad as now or even worse, I'm puzzled why I've never comes across any mention of it before now.
I think you're puzzled by many things. Some you don't even realise.
There were threats and abuse to a number of key members. Hardly worth raking back up. I'm sure the older ones will remember.

Hull City (Tigers or whatever) will NEVER lose my support even though I am 12,500 miles away. If I were in Hull I would (like my two sons, grandsons and great-grandsons) attend every home game.

I use ALL Hull City forums under different names because I give a R@ts @rse about open discussion - whether I agree with other supporters opinions or not. They do have a right to their opinion and a right to state it same as I do.
People who post statements saying they are not supporting the Club any more are obviously NOT supporters are they?

This idea that the denizens of Hull have all been close and matey until the Allams saved the footy club is quite funny.
The internet gives people bravery and encourages "I'm leaving the club that's part of me..." Posts. In the olden days they'd have just ****ed off and no one would pretend to care.

I only go to a few games nowadays so my support is diminishing.
Am I a Hull City supporter.... yes (when I actually give them money).
On the match days I don't go, I would still class myself as a City supporter but not an Allam supporter.
You would be quite happy following Allam Academicals seen as you are not paying any cash to them.
What if he moved them out of Hull, would you still be a supporter of Allam?
Why is you support diminishing?
Nobody that I know of supports a team because they like the owners.
Of course, when the Glazers took over Manchester United 10 years ago they were DOOMED.

Absolutely spot on MIke !!! I am in the same boat driven by loyalty and devotion to my HOME CLUB which is being butchered it's shear identity murdered. Sick of the insults and absolute lack of any respect the dictators have thrown at the City I am proud to be born & bred in along with it's fantastic people. Rewarding failure simply because Bruce is a puppet. So I too have had enough

My support has diminished because of Allam.
He treats the fans like **** on his shoes.
He doesn't care one one jot about the fans.
He lies, then tells more lies to cover up the original lies.
I am quite an educated man and my brain is telling me Allam will do anything to get his own way. He is a modern day dictator.

Agreed. We are all different and are prepared to tolerate many things.
Some fans are quite happy to go along with everything that is thrown at them.
Others will put up a fight.
Others (me) will not do the fighting but will happily tell him to f*ck off regarding his prices etc.
I pick my games ( I still love going) but will never pay the crazy prices he throws at us.
Once he goes, I know I will renew my pass (providing the price is right).
It kills missing games, but tbh it would hurt me more knowing I was bowing to his every move.
Those of you who are deserting the "Good Ship Hull City" and come sniveling back to these boards next season like 'Desert Rats' with your tails between your legs and start carrying on like you never left - those of us who have stayed will remember and offer you a nice cup of camel's (from a relative of Mr Allam's farm in Egypt) urine and a White Feather to pin on your r@ts arse!.
