Wiggins is 4.5% body fat apparently.

Baffles me how, with seemingly so few calories, he is able to sustain such performance.

Obviously there's a way, but it escapes me.
The simple answer is all the cyclists are like that so they are at the same disadvantage. Other than time trials they can take food on board, at Saturdays race they even all stopped for a piss at the side of the road which was shown in its entirety, probably a world record for people pissing on live TV at the same time!

Absolutely. Even though it was only his nephew, a Cuban with the name Savon should have some pedigree.

Gonna keep an eye out for Anthony Joshua and his progress.

Loving the Olympics, especially the late night stuff!

Good fight, but i thought the Cuban had dicked on him in the last round.

But what do i know.

One more win and him and Campbell get a medal.

Water Polo - looks tiring.

Bet it's good to play, but I'll stick my neck out and say it; **** to watch.

I watched a game on Sunday - think it was GB. I thought it looked ****, so much cheating going on, they were always dragging people under the water to stop them blocking a shot. Of course, no one could see without the replays because it was under the water. It was like watching Leeds.

Also Wiggins isn't necessarily starving himself of calories. In fact he probably takes in more than the rest of us, but he'll work it off so it won't be stored as body fat. Too many people think that eating is bad for you and we all need to diet constantly, not true.

True enough. Riders on the roadrace the other day would have typically burned about 7000 calories.

Which is approximately one large doner, a 16 inch pepperoni and a cheesy chips from your local take-away.

Maybe it's worth it afterall?

I am looking forward to watching Jess Ennis start her Heptathlon tomorrow but I am so nervous for her with the amount of pressure she will be under to get gold, same with Mo Farrah who really has to get his race tactics just right. I think it will be better for the lesser known athletes who are not expected to do well who might be influenced by the crowd and put in a life time best performance.

Ladies Beach Volley Ball is filling up my sky box. Lovin it. Note to self...Download it to disc after the games end. Lol.

Well done to Helen Glover & Heather Stanning the 2 rowers who got GB's first Gold medal and to Bradley Wiggins on the 2nd Gold. Unlucky Michael Jamieson in the mens 200mtrs breast stroke with the silver medal as it could have been a 3rd Gold.

Great news that the 8 badminton cheats(2 pair from South Korea and one each from China and Indonesia) have been kicked out. One of the China girls(Yu Yang) has now quit the sport. Oh dear but you should not have tried to lose and thus manipulate the draw.

++++++++++++

Well done also to Boris Johnson who has not only won Gold for zip wire dangling but has also got it into the 2016 Rio games as a new sport. ;) Judges have now decided though that the medals will be decided by the degree of dangling difficulty as well as how many flags you can wave and for how long. <whistle> Well done Boris for the best laugh of the day. :emoticon-0116-evilg

James Goddard, the bloke of a friend of mine, is in tonight's mens 200m individual medley. He's got his work cut out with Phelps, Lochte amongst others in the final. Good luck anyway James

I obviously hope Im proved wrong but I fear we wont win a single track and field gold.

Andy Murray wins 6-4 6-1 and is into the semi's where he waits for either Djokovic or Tsonga. It should be a bronze for Murray at the very least.
