The bloke who took pictures of the dead bodies and posted them on Facebook has been banged up for three months.

I'm not going to comment on your views, I'm just going to ask you 'politely' to **** off.The housing situation affecting Grenfell House built up over many years and through the lifetimes of many governments. Labour, Conservative and coalition.
The angry demonstrations at Kensington Town Hall appeared to involve locals, unlike the march on no.10 Downing St which appeared to be peopled by white middle-class 'activists', some of whom sported the familiar printed placards (bearing the name of their party)which always seem to magically appear when there is a grievance against the government, and there is an opportunity to piggyback their viewpoint onto someone else's anger.
That is how people can 'politicise' a tragedy like this: seeing it as an opportunity not to support the victims, but to cynically latch on to protests, pretending to empathise, but in reality only concerned with their political enemies.
There was a very interesting piece by Angus Young in paper last night about Greg Knight, one of 71 Tory MPs who also happen to be private landlords who voted against an amendment to the current Housing and Planning Bill. This amendment would have forced landlords to make sure their properties are 'fit for human habitation". Greg Knight (MP for E Yorks) has an income of of more than £10,000 a year derived from property.
Well-off looking after themselves shocker.

Just wanted to log my thoughts, prayers and thanks to all the 999 responders to the High Rise Fire tragedy.
These people will always respond in an emergency, regardless of their personal risk, as so many of them did. Many are still there, securing the building.
They do an amazing job and deserve the thanks and praise of everyone involved in this tragedy, whether in reality or vicariously
