There will be a minutes silence today at 11 to remember those that lost their lives in Grenfell Tower fire and those affected by it
They are. However those dogs are not the dogs working in Grenfell Tower
Those are actually dogs from Humberside Fire used to detect petrol etc in arson investigations
Someone used their photo by accident and it's done the rounds ever since despite their handlers, who I know, confirming that they hadn't been to Grenfell
After the anal probing I expect john. The funniest situation I had with a springer spaniel was at Tokyo airport, a customer from Japan I had, enjoyed some steaks we had in Aberdeen, and asked me to take some when I visited him so his wife could try them. I guess you know what happened next, the dog went crazy when by bag arrived, and I got hauled into the police room. When they found out what it was they did see the funny side of it.
Too early IMOYou must log in or register to see media
They're only releasing footage of the flats where all the residents are accounted for, which I take to mean "still alive".Too early IMO
Should have waited until all the bodies are recovered before releasing internal footage
The only comfort for the relatives of the dead is that they would have been unconscious and probably dead from carbon monoxide and other fumes long before they burned. Doesn't account for the terror leading up to that point though, it really doesn't bear thinking about too hard. Poor buggers. How can it happen in this day and age in this country?Looks bloody horrific.
I realise thatThey're only releasing footage of the flats where all the residents are accounted for, which I take to mean "still alive".
[edit to add] if the emergency services didn't do it, there would be a race amongst scumbag journalists to be doing it and potentially destroying evidence and/or disturbing bodies that have not yet been recovered.
Don't know how say it without sounding callous but 79 is amazing looking at that building. I expected a lot more.Police: 79 people they believe are dead or missing, or presume are dead. Formally identified 5 people so far. [HASHTAG]#GrenfellTower[/HASHTAG]

Just watching panorama. I'll say it again if there was 600 people in those flats, that's what panorama quote, I don't see how only 79 are dead.Don't know how say it without sounding callous but 79 is amazing looking at that building. I expected a lot more.
Amazing news for some....

Yeah but will they want to live in a tower block again ?
It's highly unlikely that anyone is going to turn down a £1.6m luxury flat and it's nine floors high, not really a tower block.
I can the sense in it in the short term, but to house people permanently in some of London's most expensive properties seems a bit over the top.
