Definitely stronger going forward than defensively. Robbo is far above him in that aspect but he’s a very good option and don’t feel worried when he does step in. For 7m very good signing. Hard to find players who are going to come in and be second choice, especially to TAA who in theory js going to be number 1 for next 10 years. I still would be interested to see Tsimikas play RB some point. He uses his right foot a lot when controlling and dribbling so he seems very comfortable using it plus with wide players generally playing on opposite sides these days, he’ll be going inside onto his stronger foot when they cut in anyway
its that 1 on the derby wins that's kept the bitters happy. none of the rest actually matters it seems.
Mo Salah has reached 10+ goals and 10+ assists in a single Premier League season for a third time (also 2017-18 and 2019-20). Before Salah, only four Liverpool players had done so in a Premier League season, and none more than once.
Goals scored vs goals conceded is also looking good ... Seriously, look how strong we were during 18-20!! Incredible numbers please log in to view this image
rookie error here. 1981 was when 3 points for a win was awarded and 38 game season was put in and taken away a couple times most recently 1995?
Liverpool have now scored 70 Premier League goals this season - two more than they managed in 38 games on their way to finishing third last season - and Salah has 19 of those in another impressive season for the Egypt forward.
When we had no defenders last season, it wasn't just conceding goals that was an issue but it was our ability to attack for precisely the reasons you stated.
We dug in last year and showed that fight to get 4th and ended up getting 3rd as Chelsea went and won the big one. This year we are improving as players get fitter, thiago yesterday was at a level I don't know how to describe as Leeds were so shambolic but he was all over the park and just controlling it. With attackers fainting at the sight of vvd again we might lose one more game in the league but we won't probably lose 2.

Arsenal, Utd, City and spurs.. City play Utd and Liverpool the games against the non top 6 teams are close. We need to win all of ours. West ham, Brighton, watford, Villa, Everton, newcastle and wolves. CIty play palace, Brighton, Burnley, wolves, watford, Leeds, Newcastle, West ham and Villa Theres not much to choose between the opponents left to be honest. We have to play arsenal and spurs while they play palace and brunely. The only question is which game is easier Liverpool V everton of Leeds v City. overall an injury crisis for city is what we need.
LFC financial statements for past 10 years 20/21 -4.8mil 19/20 -46 mil 18/19 +42mil (despite massive coutinho induced spend of 233mil) 17/18 +125mil 16/17 +39mil 15/16 -19.8mil 14/15 +60mil 13/14 +0.9mil 12/13 -49.8mil 11/12 - 40.5mil (first set published by FSG) The record profit year was the one where we enabled the big squad investment, significantly topped up with coutinho money. in effect we have at this point (these are all pre tax) made FSG 106mil and coincidentally funded 70mil for anfield road end and 50mil before selling of melwood for the 50mil kirkby. In short we are "sustainable" out of our own money AND paying 10mil per year back to FSG for their loan for the main stand. and all the while we managed ( through the worst financial period in football since WWII) to but Jota, Thiago, Tsimikas, konate and diaz... plus saw elliott come in and jones emerge. Compare this to this Arsenal - expect 150mil LOSS to be reported tomorrow. following on form -27.1mil in 2020 spurs published 67.7 mil and 80.2mil losses in last two years utd lost 26mil and 32 mil but are in yankland so thats dollars chelsea -£153.4m in 2021 and 32mil profit in 2020 City: 2.4mil profit in 2021 -126mil in 2020 remember chelsea write off huge debts via equity deal and city announced a series of well dodgy sponsorships We are operating at the level of man utd in terms of revenue and are financially more prudent (no ronaldos here thanks) we are finanaically stable and unlike spurs and arsenal not in a tail spin over covid. In any other era and perhaps in a furture era chelsea and city antics wouldn't be tolerated. this is the transformation of LFC by FSG in real terms. A financial heavyweight of global football over 10 years.
next: Update on LFC v bottom half clubs Games played 15 Goals scored 45 Goals conceded 6 Games won 14 Games drawn 1 Games lost 0 Win ratio 94% Draw ratio 6% Loss ratio 0% Goals per game 3 Goals conceded per game 0.4 I don't know about you guys but if i were a bottom half side i would not want to play LFC. the only game where we had an issue was a poor sowing where we led brentford twice and they basically hoofed lucky balls over on a six pence blindly and they dropped in. we have Watford, Villa, Newcastle, Everton, Southampton to go (perhaps Southampton will be moved to top half for leicester soon) win all 5 and 4th is outs. our forms suggests we will. Our top half is not as nice reading. Games played 11 Goals scored 23 Goal conceded 13 Games won 4 Games drawn 5 Games lost 2 Win ratio 36% Draw ratio 45% Loss ratio 18% Goals per game 2.1 Goals conceded per game 1.18 We have Arsenal, West ham, Man Utd, Man City, Brighton, Spurs, wolves to play. some toughies and some we should just win cos we have to. to win the league we need to win them all.
