I won't bash Blair on immigration, because I am unashamedly Pro-immigration, but you wont hear me defend Tony Blair, as a politician or a person.
Was going to ask you actually, as a LEAVE Tory voter, what do want to happen with regards to the leadership if we vote OUT?
I really can't see Remain winning this now: Still got the Eastern regions to declare: Yarmouth, Ipswich.
I am pro immigration. We have lots of skills gaps. I am anti-mass immigration of unskilled labour. We have plenty of unskilled labour that want to work. Yes there are dossers but there are genuinely lots of people that truly want a job but can't get jobs and are costing the NHS a pretty penny on depression treatments (which hides them from unemployment figures.)
One of the things that riles people like me is the way the remain side can keep on banging on about the NHS "It would collapse if it weren't for immigrants" Yes we know but they are skilled jobs. Get them in however while you are at it don't think you can get rid of nurses bursary and continue importing nurses forever. Train up British nurses. This constant attempt to make this into "we don't want any immigrants has backfired because not many people are even suggesting that. they just want to stop this mass flood of people that agencies and employers then employ immediately (mostly before they arrive) and then perpetuate this "we can't get British workers" myth because it just isn't true. We were doing the job before so they can't keep saying that "they are only doing the jobs the Brits won't do"
Not sure. I like Jacob Rees Mogg but I don't think he would go down well with most people. He is very sensible and actually does understand normal people outside the bubble but in these days of image will he work?
Boris is popular in the country. He plays the buffoon act very well but he is a very good speaker, motivator but I am not so sure he would go a route that would appease normal people. David Davies has come out of this referendum very well and if Gove hadn't riled the Doctors and Nurses then he would be the No1 option. Cameron gave him the jobs that would get him hated though because Cameron wants Osborne as next leader. We will have to see because a lot of these Tory MPs that voted remain are going to struggle to hang on to their seats unless they play ball and some that are in peril may need to be recalled and byelections held to get someone in before the next GE.
I am not really a cold hard Tory like some major or general. I am a realist.
The head of YouGov, who earlier predicted a small Remain win:
You must log in or register to see media
Rees Mogg won't appeal to the electorate on the whole - isnt relatable. Though, I do actually have more respect for someone like him than Boris - he actually has some core principles that he sticks with.
What about Andrea Ledsom? She did really well in the debates didnt she?
Imp you've brought you wpm count way up hammering away at the Spectator. You might be able to bath your calloused fingertips in the bath of glory come the morn.
John Curtice is pretty good (and my wife works for the same research company as him!) but yes the other pollsters are terrible.
Hilary Benn still hasn't got the gist. "we think the majority of Labour voters will have voted remain" Is he including the now SNP voters?
