I have voted but in the interest of my grandchildren not by following my miserable old gits prejudices and bigotry with a strong element of nasty racism thrown which is how I fear many of my generation will vote. Our very own dumbed down version of Donald Trump will be disappointed with me. I hope the majority vote for a positive European future for all our children
I want to leave because I think it has got too big, has too much power, and I want my country back. Not talking about race, but about values. I am proud of Britain and I welcome people who want to be British (whilst still adding variety to our mix). I don't welcome criminals and people who live in the dark ages...we should control which group of people we allow in. Europe is not run by idealistic people (as some seem to think) but are just a bigger version of FIFA...power corrupts. I know there are racists amongst my fellow travellers, but I object strongly to everyone being lumped in with that. There has been an attempt by the stay campaign to vilify the real concerns of ordinary people....happens at every election. I could as easily point out that the stay group contain some people who hate and despise Britain and love virtually everybody else on principle, including a large group of luvvies. Britain is a big country...no one is going to ignore our market. I think the vote will be to stay (just as it was in Scotland)....people will vote for the status quo...and then we will be stuck in a Europe which is on the verge of disintegration any way.
Apart from free market laws being set via Brussels, what makes you think that you've lost 'your' country?
We have the authority to A) refuse entry to convicted criminals at our border & B) new rules have been passed whereby EU nationals locked up in other EU countries are to be returned to their home country. British Crime for British People?
You think Westminster is run by idealistic people? Austerity is the reason we're in the mess that we are, but for some reason people think the EU is at fault.
What people hate & despise Britain that wish for us to remain? Even so, people like Rupert Murdoch, Nick Griffin & Nigel Farage are people I would not trust to relay balanced information on what the EU does for us. Do you think that they have a better understanding on the effects the EU has than people like Blair, Brown & Cameron?
We may be the 5th biggest economy in the world, but a large part of that will be affected over the next 2 years in the event of a Leave vote. I have a friend who works in Canary Wharf and there is a massive amount of panic up among her & colleagues there over potential job losses/relocation to Frankfurt. Also, I'm uncertain as to what makes people so sure that we will negotiate better trade deals than we have currently? We're not exactly going to be in a strong position to negotiate are we?

But seriously, I'll not be concerned with some city bankers worrying about their next bonus. This is a great country, and with the right leadership will thrive.
Greece are about to default again, Italy are six months away from a crash, more poor countries joining, get ready for the great British bail out.

All this talk of taking out country back, good luck. It will take us back...wards.
Manufacturing in my industry alone has dropped by approx 50% in recent years as it disappeared to far shores (not EU). Cheaper labour being the main driver; are those wanting to leave prepared to work for less to be able to compete?
I can't see that. I don't see that we have the industries and manufacturing that we used to have. I feel That so much of our service industry will disappear and we will be left out on too much of a limb.
We don't trust our politicians now, so what makes us think they are strong enough to drive us forward under their steam. I say that about all parties. I see not one person I'd be confident to drive us forward. There would be a self centred battle for power and self enrichment.

I'm in too. Wouldn't be the same just competing in the World Cup every 4 years with no Euros in between 
I'm in. I'm not a gambler especially with my finances. It's an attitude which has served me well so far in life.

Making trade deals within the EU more than likely the companies you deal with will abide be defined laws and treat all of their employees fairly but I have heard those that want to take 'our country back' want to make deals with China and other less enlightened countries.
EU is an undemocratic organisation but China apparently is absolutely fine [because they're cheap?]
Also thinking that this country is more democratic than the EU is a bit kettle and pot isn't it? There are plenty of autocratic undemocratic things we do time after time that the average person cares little about or even knows about. After all we as a nation invented the QUANGO to start off with.
But having said that you vote how you want to vote because the people campaigning on both sides of the argument will be fine no matter what. Do you really think a massive dip in our fortunes and a recession will affect Boris, Michael and Nigel in any way at all?
It'll affect the pensions my wife and I live off though.

I've never voted in my life.
Politics doesn't interest me in the slightest. I thought about this differently to a GE at first but soon realised it's still playground stuff by the same people whos only interests are their own. Not 'the peoples'.
