What about drummer singer/songwriters?
Don Henley comes to mind (The Eagles) but there are others:
Myron Grombacher wrote most of Pat Benatars songs - and Lita Fords too - here’s a cheesy 90s John Mutt Lange produced rock track:

Phil Collins.

Anything Eagles or their members is fine with me

Just as an aside, I see these have just been re-launched and are back - will the poster follow suit?

I’m in a Pat Benatar mood - here are a couple from the ‘Seven the Hard Way’ album (1985)

I think these are both Grombacher songs...

IMO, the first was still the best. It sold me on them and that took some doing for a Yank band back then.........<laugh>

I think this was probably their frst hit off that album.....................

Actually this was off the album ‘The Cars’, with ‘My Best Friends Girl’ being the other hit from that album. It wasn’t from Hearbeat City.
Great track though....

R&W - you misunderstand mate, I didn't saw it was. I said their debut album "The Cars" was IMO the best and the Just What I Needed track was the first released as a single off that.

Both the Best Friend's Girl and Good times Roll tracks were also on that first album and were hits when released as singles..............vids of both below.

I think Heartbeat City was a much later album. <ok>

Great band. And Ric Ocasek and Ben Orr are sadly missed in the music industry
