Losing at home to Fulham is far worse than losing away to City.

Not taking into account performances. We should have taken something from our game and didn't. Newcastle did what was expected of them.

Losing without playing is worse then losing when playing. Doesn't matter who you play. If we go to City and lose 4-0 but play well does that make our result the same as the mags?

At the end of the day, its the transfer window…

Arsenal were not playing on the monday, however fans had been getting on to them to start signing people

Perfectly within their rights to make a bid for Cabaye, just Colgate teeth being pathetic and stupid

However I do remember seeing this…

WhoScored.com ‏@WhoScored 23h
Yohan Cabaye: Since signing, Newcastle have won 44.1% of their PL games with Cabaye starting, compared to just 23.6% without him

WhoScored.com ‏@WhoScored 22h
Yohan Cabaye: Despite making only 26 PL apps last season, Cabaye created at least 19 more chances (53) than any other Newcastle player #NUFC

God I hope he goes!

i'd say it was the manner of the performance whic mattered most, so have to disagree with you on this one.

we played well and got robbed, but i'm more hopeful we'll get results if we keep playing that way and do a bit more...which we will. if we don't convert our play into wins after a 10 or so matches then i'll be concerned, but not at all before.

nowt wrong with losing at Man City, but it should and could have been a lot, lot more. this mag isn't covering up his feelings after watching the match..

how many sunderland fans were like this after our game on Saturday? not me, that's for sure

I'm in no way gutted at our result. I just think we're banging on about the mags as they they took an embarrassing tonking. City look a very, very good side and will destroy a few teams this year.

I'm bothered about the opportunity missed. All well and good performing well but I'd have liked the three points.

When you lose 4-0 it doesn't really matter how you play because you've been battered.

Not always the case. Newcastle setup yesterday was just wrong. Nobody on the team played well. I've seen games where we have lost 4-0 and haven't been as disappointed as they must feel.

Look at our results v city and we set our team up to counter attack and to defend against them..especially the last three home games 1-0. This is nearly the same city team that managed to hammer us 1-0 in hong kong ;)

just seen AP whining on TV about couldn't play Cabaye as he had his head turned before the match.
Surely the lad should have been busting a gut to get out on the pitch and show how good he is instead of the cowardly way he cried out. Soft knob.

Thing is though, from Pardews perspective, you wouldn't quit now. You'll never manage as big a club, you'll probably have to drop a level, you have been constantly undermined publically, the club is unwilling bring players in, you aren't exactly popular with the fans...

There is probably be more reasons, cant be arsed to think of any more.

There is no way I'd walk, I would hopefully be sacked or stick around for the next 6 or so years.

...so your point is?

i would say there were a lot more positives to take from our performance. i think we bossed it for all but 5 minutes and looked much improved from last season. i think with a few more signings we could do well. the mags looked terrible and couldnt string together 2 passes. they hate pardew and kinnear and only signing of note is still to face a rape charge. i know which one of these i prefer

football not in the real world, if i got an offer and i have in the past not the sort of money these jammy buggers get to change jobs i had to crack on with my work for a month..

Funny thing is, Sess's head has been turned for the last two summers and not once has his patchy form and head turning been used as an excuse for the overall team losing. What a looser Pardew is.
