Yeh fair enough about Guly. He had a particularly poor game and yes was at fault for the goal. It's the over reaction and criticism of the whole team that I think is just a bit silly. We are all dissapointed not to have won sure but its not as though the team were out played or in my opinion ever looked like getting beat
It's a good thing we're heading in to january.. Now we can hopefully pull someone big otu the hat in terms of a striker.
Spot on about Hammond Lambden. Thought he had a real good game. Actually thought Morgan had a better game on that wing than usual... If only he could shoot!!!!!
Should think so with the players they have, long as we are above you I don't give a ****. Have fun with your religation battle while we are battling to get promoted
Relegation battle? Win our game in hand and we'll be 11th? scum are definitely on the slide. other than that fat ****s head u you were pretty ineffective today
Portsmouth were awful and it was an awful game in the first half simple because neither team wanted to lose. Our midfield is too slow and lacks width but that has been compromised. I don't need to say anymore about Guly as i can't add to what has been said. Our recent form has shown how much we miss chaplow but we need a striker with pace, (MAYNARD). Anyone know what is worng with Lee Barnard? I think it is time that Guly moves back to the right now as thats where he started at the beginning of the season where we were at our best.
Like Ardilles was told "ball"/ "net" "put ball into net". As I've posted before Morgan: great technical player but really needs to be able to shoot on target...eleven players like him and you'd acheive 80% pocession but lose every match because they cant score...surely we have a big enough squad to pick form goal scoring players without relying on lambert all the time...Guly is good but clearly off-form was disappointed he wasn't replaced by Steve
Just found myself a new addition to my ignore list. Might be best that a few more of you follow suit and also ignore.
Going back to original point of the thread.... Spending last hour walking round Morrisons has maybe given me slightly fresher eyes. -I was wrong to criticise Hammond, I think he suffers from a bit of "face like slapped ass" syndrome, and when he is putting in a good shift, he looks in pain. -as I pointed out originally, I couldn't be happier about being top at Xmas. But I, as many others, see this as the best opportunity of getting promoted. If for whatever reason we don't make it this year, I can't see us challenging again straight away. -We are slow and must do better to achieve what we all want. -I think we need something new in January, I suggest we look within as despite our success, I don't want the club to go against the recent positive growth -lastly, I wouldn't call it moaning when I want the best for my club, the blood that flows through these veins always has and will always be red and white.
More importantly I think we need a striker with a turn of accelleration over short distances to get away from defenders. The way we play, we are unlikely to need players who can leg it from one end of the pitch to the other in a few seconds. Not sure on this one, but I think Barnard needed another op on his ankle.
