Not saying he didnt set up the interview, but if he did doesnt mean the journo's didnt add their own spin to it.

anyway, I still prefer a player to be complaining about not getting a game and move on if needed, than one who is happy to sit out his contract on our wage bill.

btw, Jozy scored in the cup game but still go stick from the fans after the game even though we lost due to our GK screwing up for both goals. in fact, Jozy got more stick than the GK. I am pretty sure there are some people on here who would have something bad to say about him no matter what he did.

We've just won our first game, had 2 strikers score & are bang full of confidence.

Whatever Altidore has on his mind this is absolutely the wrong time, in Sunderland's interests, to be bleating in the media.

I'm sick of every international break being the only time he comes alive ........ he should be practising shooting rather than setting up interviews.

He's made it obvious where his true interests lie and it's not with SAFC.

Yes Terry, you get the picture!

Add in sheer blind panic, lots of squealing and the inevitable crashing to the ground and the image is complete <doh>

BTW, if you're reading this Jozy, sorry mate, but I've demanded more reprieves that you've scored goals ....... not impressed.

Yeah, the traction eventually comes (like when he gets his chance 1-on-1) and it's a complete car crash, culminating in the pig's head getting stuck right in between two iron railings (Row ZZ).

ONLY difference is, the pig still has it's uses once it's been put to sleep.

A lot of you seem to think there's a premier league striker in there, I don't I'm afraid, another one we will be lucky to recoup half the fee. He is the weakest (not physically) of the three mains.

However I do understand his own personal wish to move on, we are just not a match under gus style, he does look decent for USA. Running onto the ball as oppose to god forbid giving him it

Yeah, put in a transfer request ..... easy <ok>

If Conner hasn't signed by then it will be interesting to see how Gus plays it.

Sell him anyway IMO - even if Wickham hasn;t signed then we will still have a player looking for a big move to a PL club on good money. He'll be fighting to show people what he's capable of for that money.

Really hope he signs though. He is going to be a very good player IMO. English centre forward with PL experiecne is a massive asset. And he's cored a few goals now in the league.

Jozy, on the other hand, has 2 PL goals in his 63 games! Wickham has 7 in about 20 starts!! 1 in 3 isn't that bad

Aye it is, maybe Journo's adding a negative spin to what he said ?

To be honest, if he isnt going to get games then I understand why he would want to move on. Not sure why people are surprised/angry about this. I'd be more worried if he was happy to sit on his arse letting his contract run out - as we know certain players are willing to do.

Graham is perfectly happy to get 0 games but get paid his wages, waiting for his contract to run out rather than take a pay cut, and that attitude pisses me off way more than a player who wants to move on to get games

I agree with that but I don't think he's done himself any favours coming out with rhetoric like that.
All he has to do is what he gets paid for.

He's made it very clear that his country comes before his club.
The journo's can spin it any way the want but those are quotes.

If Jozy leaves in January this would generally mean the last 2 players I have had my name referring to have been sold the following January...

Anybody got anybody they want me to add?!

He is American, I am not surprised he puts country above club -they are a slightly patriotic country afterall......

Just hope/wish his desire to play for his country translates to performaces in training. Pissing Fletcher off worked, lets see how jozy reacts next time he gets a game

The reason he's worried about not playing for his country is because it's the only time he scores goals. He wants to feel like a striker again <doh> Seriously had respect for the bloke but I guess it's the old saying actions speak louder then words. He could of bit his tongue and knuckled down when given his chance instead of putting himself on the wrong side of Gus and the team..

When does the FA Cup start, January isn't it?

If Wickham & Fletcher score a modicum of goals he won't get a game for a while.

The way Buckley plays I'd rather have him, in the middle, than Altidore tbh.

May still get ok money for Jozy from the States, doesn't their season start about Jan ? (Lampards Loan ends at City around then). He may fancy a move back home and we cud put a realistic bid in for Borini.

Then he should have gone & telt the gaffer that instead of bleating on to the press like some wee lassie.

Thing is I am sure Klinnsman said that Jozy should be playing for CL team?

Surely if he can't even break into our team it tells its own story?
