I think that most of the potential manager names mentioned on this site receive a backlash for one reason or another , but lets give Joyce a chance.Dont forget he will probably have SAF available to him for help and advice , not bad.Remember how Brown always commented about advice from Big Sam was invaluable to him when he was cutting his teeth with us.

I think what bum chinned crab is trying to say is last time Joyce was here he didn't have a company car so he wasn't good enough. This time around, due to our cuts of company cars, he still probably won't have one, which will therefore deem him not good enough. If he's not good enough for a company car, he's not good enough for the company. <ok>

I love the way you keep going on about this when I was right. Let's see what you think of Mr CeO once Adam walks...

You can if you like I can handle it <nahnah>

I posted this last night and having slept on it I would just like to say I wouldn't change a thing, I'll stick to what I wrote. There is no doubting what Joyce helped to achieve all those years ago but christ let's get real, Joyce??? God help us if that's the best we can do.

PS. The Canucks kick The Flames arse every time.

Then look at this

Somebody took a punt on Adkins and it seems to have been a good decision.
Warren Joyce is a man who has been very well versed in the qualities of structured management; he has done this at the behest of the greatest manager our country has experienced - a very strong CV point. He is a very determined, hard-working, no nonsense guy who will give us evry ounce of his strength, belief and experience how do I know this? Because I lived the 'Great Escape' years, they started to age me and then this guy, yes, THIS GUY, took us by the scruff of the neck and showed us that we still had a fottball team, a football club and a huge future.

And some of you sackless, meally-mouthed scrotes are not prepared to offer him the chance of managing the club he saved for you - what a load of whinging, shallow, arseholes you all are. It makes me ashamed to think I sit among you - or do I? <steam>

The only reason I used that Jon Walters example was to show that just because someone wasn't good enough for us once upon a time, it doesn't mean they never can be. Also, Joyce was good enough for us at the time, it was stupid to sack him.

Times change don't they, Joyce is a different prospect now to what he was then. Brownie had no track record as a manager before he saved us from the drop then took us up. Give whoever comes a chance.

For me I wanted Ian Holloway .. Warren Joyce wouldn't be my choice . BUT who ever we get it's always a gamble, even if we get a big name in they can still fail.. Who ever it is I am sure we will all get behind the new manager and the team.. Maybe Warren Joyce can do great again.. Here's hoping ... ( if that's who it is )
