When I was nowt but a callow youth I used to play football with a Harry Cardwell, he'll be late 50's mebbe 60 now ........ must be his his grandfather?
No his father.
what team did you play for Spes?
Harry played for chalk Lane. Also played for a few Bransholme teams in his early days.

I fear playing him today was a tactical move, we'll get more compo if he's appeared for the first team and we're apparently expecting someone to try and nick him shortly.

In the first half everything he did was applauded and he even had his own song, which is unusual for a youngster making his debut.

As i posted earlier. His Dad was taken to the game by Rooneys agent.
It'd be a terrible career move for him at this moment to leave us.

Agree that this was a tactical move to get more compensation when he moves on. Liverpool and Southampton are two that have been sniffing around.

It's unusual that it's a player from Hull and our youngest ever!
I expected it actually
Shame if we lose him, looks a good prospect

What has football come to when a big club can just steal another clubs youngsters for an absolute pittance. What incentive do clubs have to develop youngsters if they can just be stolen.

Funny that he's being reported in the media as the youngest ever - did that come from the club? Edeson has him beaten by about six months, doesn't he?

He's on almost nothing at the moment, no doubt today has triggered a pay rise, but it's probably too little too late.

The terms on which higher academies can take other academies players, means we'll get a pittance.
I don't think him playing means he is leaving. Surely just good to give the lad game time against poor opposition? He ain't going to be playing any championship games soon. Although he is England youth capped so that might get teams interested.
