What, adjusting your arguments based on your relative liking of Rafa or Pardew. Who would be low enough to do that ?

Also other ****e like Ruud Nistelrooj, Robin Van Persie, Pierre Van Hoojdonk, Ocado Van Driver and some crap Luis Suarez guy.

If he's near the level of Bony or Depay he'd be a very good buy for us. Even Janssen would do a job for us. Admittedly Alves and numerous others have been poor (Luuk De Jong, Jon Dahl Tomasson, etc).

Too many to mention. The 'Messiah' shall not bear any responsibility for his **** ups. Despite struggling to match up to the terrible horrible Alan Pardew so far, despite very similar circumstances (the messiah has spent more and had greater autonomy). Fickle is an understatement to be honest.

FYI - Jorgensen didn't play for Feyenoord tonight. Wasn't in a 21-man squad.

Crap. All this anticipation, and we get this lump.

Mate, I'm only commenting on a message board!

You stick a foreign name and a £17m price tag on him, most of the ground will believe he's Son of Shearer.

Pardew came across as a absolute ****tard who i wouldn't trust to clean my toilet without trying to **** my wife. Benitez comes across as a gent. Player purchasing wise both are pretty suspect, tactically I have been surprise by the number of inadequacies of Benitez but I will always support Benitez more than i did Pardew for the whole 'gent' thing.

It's the same reason Hughton will always be fondly thought of and I haven't a bad word to say about Roeder whilst Allardyce can go take a long walk off a short pier. I can't support someone I dislike.

True. I'd rather have results and a gent though. I just can't listen to anymore delusional excuses for Rafa. Hopefully the new owners will get Marcelo Gallardo in..

Whilst we all agree that there are many more exciting and hopeful options out there and we are all also scarred from the de Jong experiences and wary of the general crappiness of the Dutch league... The most important thing to keep in mind is this: Jorgensen's wage demands are probably the lowest of all the striker options on Rafa's list. Mike likes this.

    This.
20 mill AND Slimani's wages? That deal was dead in the water before it started.
Seriously, who's left that actually earns 60k at this club? I struggle to think of one, probably Mbemba/Mitro and they're off.
Whatever way you cut it, and Pouchy's guna cut it 'reel' good, that is ****ing madness for a prem club.

    Edit: I'll concede Shelvey
No surprise he's also linked with a move away. But ye, Rafa spends 20m on ONE striker and we're sorted lads.

Enough's enough! Mods - can we ban this **** on grounds of being anti-Rafa, writing posts that are so long that we all just ignore them, and being Fredor who is already banned?

I'm actually pretty sure Slimani will score goals here, but Jorgensen looks a huge gamble which I would wager won't work out. Just pay Leicester the £20m and get him in.

To be honest I will just be happy to see some new players come in. Yes Jorgensen might not come good but at least its better than trying with the same old strikers that have not hit the target often enough this season. We create few enough chances - we need someone more clinical than who we have at the moment.

Unlike some round here I am not going to slag off Rafa if the strikers we get don't work out - at the levels we are willing to pay all the strikers are a bit hit and miss. Trouble is the ones we have at the moment are more miss and miss. Just get one or two in quick.

I am happy to discuss this with the Secretariat. I am not sure that banning Pouchy will have the desired effect. He will no doubt blame it on Rafa (along with Brexit, global warming and the rise of islamic fundamentalism).

However I have found that its very easy to filter his posts based on length. His one paragraph posts are normally light-hearted and witty. Any more than that and its usually setting the scene for a Rafa -put down and a board wind-up in Paragraph 42.

This, unfortunately, and let's all be honest here - this is the longest shot of anything anyway. To somehow think Charnley's going to become competent with 6 days to go.....<shudder>....

The guy would be a total nut job if he leaves the comparative comfort of Feyenoord to come here.

I hope he's thick skinned because he'll need to be.
