My balls aren't exactly quivering with excitement, but those are some ****ing tasty stats! Eredivise or not.

Big gamble if it’s true! Would like us to have gone after someone who’s proven in a decent league......hope he’s not another Kezman or Vincent Janssen:emoticon-0145-shake

Personally I like the look of Slimani more than Jorgensen looking at the latter's highlights reel.

He’s been valued at 20m euro and apparently we’ve done a Staveley and offered 14m.

I’m not convinced either as De Jong had similar stats but he’ll get my support of course.

True. Just have to hope he can handle the PL like a Van Nistelrooy, Bergkamp, Van Persie, Suarez, Robben, Hasslebaink or Gini Wijnaldum rather than a Kezman, Jon Dahl Tomasson, De Jong (either of them) or Altidore.

Just look at the players you list, what sets the first bunch apart? Pace and movement. Slow players from the Eredivisie pretty much always fail.

He'll get support, but if it is this lad, he looks bang average. I'd have more faith in Brighton's new signing, Locadia.

For me, I'd put my house on him failing. He's only just hit a decent bit of form, at 27 ffs. Before that he was doing "ok" in the Danish league (!) having failed at both Leverkusen and Koln. It just looks like our "scouts" searched online for top scorers - and I fail to understand how our last two lumps from that league, including LDJ from Feyenoord, haven't set alarm bells ringing.

He was a bottom end journeyman footballer for 9 years almost, being loaned out twice and valued at just over a million quid. One half decent season in a poor league and suddenly he is transformed into a 20 million pound player.
The premier league will take some adapting to by him, if he can, by which time we will be down.
I hope I am wrong but looks like a waste of money to me, We need someone with experience of this league.

    This all over.

And we were moaning about Slimani?

Simple answer is that it may not be our money but it is our Club.

It's both. Without us, NUFC would have, would BE, nothing.

    He looks.....okay.

****e in Germany, but consistently good elsewhere and nationally.

I think I'd rather gamble on him than go for Slimani, who just looks meh.

I've not really seen this guy but I think that Slimani always looked like he had the tools to do well in the Prem. Sometimes it just doesn't work out with some players when they go to clubs because of the system, manager or many other reasons
