Caulkin is pretty much the only ITK there is. I don't necessarily think it's worth reading too much into it. He's not a £20m striker, though better than what we have. I think we tried to keep it very quiet, like a Cabaye or Wijnaldum type deal, failed and the press coverage escalated the price. The problem we have is the world has clearly moved on. As Klopp said, he doesn't necessarily think Van Dijk is a £75m player, but that's not how it works. You say "I need the best type of player we can get", the numbers attached are now largely irrelevant. Charnlley still works with "value for money" in mind, when it's neither his money nor how it works anymore. Sadly, he's just not up to it, and that's being kind.
