The Newcastle connection doesn’t bother me as much as it does others. Worked out great with Lee Clark when he played for us. I thought he was excellent. As long as they put in 100%, I can look past that.
Other than set pieces, is he any good? Doesn't appear to have any great pace or mobility, can he pass?
Really good passing range, lacks pace but really fit He def wouldn't be at the top of my list but I also don't think he would be the worst signing Obviously would come down to cost
I'm a fan of Ward-Prowse and he'd be a very solid/great signing, I'm just wondering if we haven't already got that role covered by Enzo. He hasn't hit the heights yet in terms of attacking free kicks and likely never will match WP but there's probably more to come there and he takes a great corner. His overall play is possibly better already.
Aye I’m normally decisive but I’m flopping like a trout on mushrooms here. See the ‘squad role value’ can’t forget the ‘murderers money’
Exactly, he’s the type luckily that although people might not fancy him coming they would still get behind him I think
Strict with yourself, tolerant with others is a good principle to live by I think. I don't agree with his decisions, but people are complex and one decision never gives the whole picture, even if it does end up defining them in the eyes of others. Same way that I know without any question that I would walk away if we ever got owned by a state like Saudi, but I won't disown my Newcastle supporting friends for choosing to keep backing their team. Everyone has imperfections and is on their own journey. For me, having strong morals is a personal striving, not something that I need to impose on others and judge them for (though I'm sure I'm still a hypocrite at times). If there was a body of evidence suggesting this was his character, I'd be more inclined to be averse to it. But I think there's enough evidence to suggest it was a mistake.
From what I can tell, all this Henderson to Sunderland came from Quinny saying it would be great if Sunderland went in for him on talksport, then all the media outlets ran with it. Lazy journalists putting 2 and 2 together simply because he was at Wembley as a fan, 35 in June and his boyhood club are back in the prem. He'll likely he'll end up at Rangers, has a chance to win the SPL with them.
